Why Do We Still Have Bans on Rotation Games?

It's not ranked, it's meant to be fun, why have bans? Aside from URF where some champions need to be nerfed and some buffed(I know urf isn't meant to be balanced, but some champions get way too much and some get no cds at all) rotation games dont need bans. It's a time waster and it makes people dodge from a stupid event mode not meant to be serious.

because that's where its needed most and a lot of people would like a chance to play at all ever

It's not a ranked or important game so it's not needed.

It's not a ranked or important game so it's not needed.

by that same logic, the mode itself is not necessary

Because it's meant to be fun and some people would like to have fun.

So people like to ban champions who ruin that.

"It's a time waster and it makes people dodge" You say that as if people wouldn't dodge from the picks instead of the bans.

Normal Draft isn't Ranked either, it has bans.

The idea is that Bans let players take out what frustrates them in a game mode, without Riot having to balance the mode or constantly remove elements (like the first URF). Very few people dodge over it, and those that do probably aren't playing it like a fun game mode any way.
