@Riot: Trundle

What does Riot think about buffing Trundle? He received nothing but buffs since his rework, and is still struggling having 45% winrate in top lane (one of the lowest) and barely a 50% winrate in jungle. With the juggernaut rework Trundle is now outdueled by Fiora, Darius, Garen, while they are much more useful in teamfights. With the removal of mana pots and tiamat waveclear, botrk nerf he will be completely useless as a top laner, and jungler.

What are your thoughts? Everyone is welcome to voice their opinions, let's have a productive conversation.

Trundle outdueled by Darius and Garen? Can't say that's ever happened to me. Trundle is a ridiculously good 1v1er, especially late game. The only people who could ever outduel him would be Sion and possibly Yorick, but Sion has been gone for more than a year now.

I'd say the best way to buff him would be to better define his niche as an anti-bruiser, so I'd buff his ultimate and the AD drain from his Q

Probably something along these lines:

Q: AD reduction is doubled against champions (for a total of 20/25/30/35/40 reduced AD), but make the AD buff and debuff last for 4/5/6/7/8 seconds instead of 8 seconds at all ranks (because giving him an extra 20 AD debuff without some form of compensation nerf would be a bit much).

R: Trundle drains 20/27.5/35% of the target's max health and 40% of their armor and MR, half instantly and half over 4 seconds (just like live) but receives 120% of the stolen stats up from 100% (so he heals for 24/33/42% of the targets max health, and gains a total of 48% of their resists).

Also, if this isn't already part of the functionality, the heal amount does not correlate to the damage dealt (basically, it will heal trundle for exactly the same amount regardless of whether the target has 100 MR or 1000 MR, just for consistency. This may already be part of how it works, but it is unclear from when I play him (and I play him a LOT)).

One other Idea that's been kicked around for a while is to make his pillar's slow a lot stronger near the center of the slow field, while slightly weaker at the edges, something like 20/25/30/35/40% at the edge and 40/50/60/70/80% right next to the pillar, instead of a flat 30/35/40/45/50%.

he is meant to be played support. He doesnt even show up on champion.gg for that though so who knows how that is doing. But that is his best role vs diving supports like blitz/leona/thresh/etc

Fiora and mobile AP champs are the only champs Trundle doesnt really have an answer for. Garen and Darius are both Trundle's free tickets into a good late game, plus neither outduel him past early game unless massively fed.

Trundle is fine right now and imo will be fine next season as well. He has top tier build-pathing and decent utility , so he'll always be able to manage if played well.

2 buffs: Q steals a flat amount of AD, and a % of it based off of his own AD or Armor Ult's stat steal lasts longer.

Buffing his Q means late game, his Q doesn't fall off, meaning that he can actually help shut down the enemy carry by stealing their AD, and buy making his ult stat steal last longer, he keeps himself tanky long enough to contribute to fights.
