Aatrox is super weak

Hello, so I've played Aatrox yesterday, and I was surprised to see that he's even weaker than I remember him being. I went on to fight Twitch 1x1 I had a (not sated) and finished, vs twitch with , and we were both full hp, I had my passive fully stacked for atk speed. So I hit every single spell (q knockup, e, r damage, botrk active, smite) and twitch just stood there attacking me. I was surprised to go down with him being 20% hp. What the hell is this? Since when a melee champion with +- equal items to a ranged one loses in a straight aa battle? I would understand if he kited me, or outplayed me somehow by dodging everything. But standing there and auto attacking?

This forum has 2-3 buff/rework Aatrox threads a day. Why does Riot ignore us?

because the player base is small so the effort required to fix him really isn't worth it financially

Only thing i can figure anyway, he was barely playable before they nerfed him, he's been in this sad state for about 2 years now.

If they revert the nerfs, he will see play again and be fine ish, not overpowered, but strong and a decent pick by some (like fredy122)

Aatrox is purposely being kept in the trash until a rework comes out that lets him be strong without being a complete nightmare

Riot ignores the threads related to Aatrox because they plan to rework (at least partially) Aatrox.

Aatrox is bad design. Champions with heavy sustain like Vlad and his like have alays been a nightmare to balance. And Aatrox, with his permanent, massive, super-high sustain is the king of this nightmare.

I play Aatrox a lot at a diamond 5 level and when he is ahead, he is incredibly oppressive to face. But at the same time, he is so squishy that if you fall behind, you will be the victim of the game. Also, the unreliability of his Q and his general lack of scaling hurt him a lot.

Except for a couple of QoL buffs (reduced CD on passive, extra-blood well stack when he press R etc), Riot will never straight out buff him because Riot knows that Aatrox can easily become a terror.

And next season with the return of Executioner Calling for only 800g, he will suffer even more. Yup, a shame.

I've seen Sated Aatrox to 1v5, because the enemy team had no burst dmg until late-late game and he would just lifesteal all the dmg in teamfights.

Did you switch to Blood Thirst when you got low? Probably the biggest mistake an Aatrox player can do.

Also have to consider how fed the Twitch was.

I play Aatrox Top Lane and I find that building BotRK then Spirit Visage into a Randuin's will suffice my tanking needs for much of the game if none of the enemy are super fed by mid game. I also switch to Blood Thirst when I hit 40% health to sustain after getting bursted, even during fights, it's totally worth, they waste all their abilities on you and you heal them quickly and easily.

Glass Cannon Aatrox is rarely going to work either, you need tank items to survive fights and be useful.

You lost because you put two AS items on a champ with passive AS gain, you should have went for BT instead of BOTRK, not as fast but much more heal, also, how maxed was W and were you using it for third damage?

Because Riot doesn't really care about its players concerns, that's all I can conclude. They are responsible for ONE game and yet they can't figure out a way to make Aatrox competitive without making him OP? What a joke Riot is.

I made an idea before 5.22 to bring his Base HP back to normal levels. Now I just don't know....
