Only excuse?

Asides from the fact that nearly all mids are AD/have mobility nowadays? The low mobility that is at a big disadvantage thanks to the meta? The huge cooldown on his 'long ass stun'? The 1-shot fodder he also becomes after using his combo? The short range? (pun intended) The mana problems ALL game with the new Athene's nerf? The low map pressure he puts on to get an early dragon? (crucial nowadays) The fact that even tenacity lets you dodge his W even if you get hit by his E? The only purpose of his being deleting 1 champion and then running away and praying his movespeed is enough? (oh my, he does that role, who would have known?) The vulnerability to harass from everything and everyone if he wants to rack up AP? The broken sustain of his passive, that forces you to buy mana regen to enhance it? The slow moving AAs that make farming without Q a nightmare if you want to harass? The one CC of his having a huge cooldown and being his only escape? The delay on his W? The Zhonya's that counters 97% of all ultimates? The magic-pen and CDR builds instead of glasscannon AP ones?

Muh low number of excuses here, ignore...

hes also immobile af

immobile and with not even conditional durability. I will agree that Veigar's stun is obnoxious and his damage potential is huge, but it comes at a rather large cost.

...He is horribly weak early. I literally lost 1/3rd of my health from an Akali Q auto (you try waddling away fast enough) and lost a trade despite getting a Q and several autos off.

Otherwise, if you QSS his stun you're supposed to go in on him, not sit back and wait for his cooldowns to come back up. If you see his team running at you, just disengage (or if his stun ended, engage) and continue living and playing.

Immobility, weak early game, requires time to farm and stack, very short range, pretty much defeated by QSS and tenacity (as he loses a bunch of burst), and his ult really only one-shots high AP champs (as they are usually both squishy and his ult scales on their AP too), and that's if he's REALLY fed/had tons of time to Q farm.
