The real reason Yasuo is OP
It's not because of his Windwall, or ult CD, or any other parts of his kit that seem frustrating. League of Legends is a frustrating game with frustrating champions played by frustrating people, that's not a real reason to nerf something. Pantheon is frustrating but I don't see anyone complaining about him.
It's because Yasuo is a lategame hyper carry who can now rush defensive items over straight offense while still dealing tons of damage early-mid and lategame due to the over abundance of "offense + defense" items (not even "bruiser" items necessarily). This essentially makes Yasuo strong at all stages of the game. In the event that he fks up and is getting spanked in lane, he (and many other champions) can just rush a ton of health (Frozen mallet or Sunfire build) which nullifies the opposing player's lead.
Basically, he powerspikes way too soon.
I still think Yasuo was healthier when he was rushing Shiv>IE every game because it took a while before he could reach that point; he couldn't really afford rushing defensive items. He was a high risk - high reward champion.
I think that's the real problem as of recently for many champions, too many high-risk champions can get away with rushing health to give them a crutch until they have enough money for TF, which then spikes their midgame while still being relevant lategame unlike traditional Triforce champions; Champs that build TF > Tank get a huge powerspike but eventually fall off because their kit doesn't allow them to build full damage, unlike Yasuo and Ekko which are designed with the intention that they are building mostly offense so their kit allows them to avoid damage (meaning, if you punish them they take less of a punishment because they're not building full damage)
It's only a matter of time before an item is introduced and makes Tank Zed a thing. Just take a moment to think of how stupid that would be to play against. Every Wood VI player and their Grandma would be building it so they can make le flashy plays while having a huge margin of error so they'll probably win regardless if they suck.
So yeah, I think the nerf to Yas on the PBE is a step in the right direction. Thanks Riot ;^)
main and I literally don't care about anything in Yasuo's kit (like how his Windwall negates every single one of Nami's abilities). What I do care about is how forgiving he is when a Yas scrub ults randomly and it turns out well because he doesn't die fast enough
I don't care about this
and
. I've build tank on Nasus before, complete tank, with 1000 stacks. I was killed in 2 seconds by those items and things like
. It's not hard to counter. Plus if you don't feed Yasuo, he can't do anything.
