Silver 4 to Silver 5 After One Loss?

WTF is this bullshit. They put me with a party of 4, and of course theyre all toxic toward me (The solo querer is always the one to blame), even tho i was the one with kills. So then we lose, and i get back to Silver 5 already? This is complete BS. I Lost my last game going from 16 LP to 0, then i lose this one and im back at Silver V thanks to a dynamic que? Fuck you Riot.

What was ur lp? If your too low and you lose you derank it happens. If you are good you will climb again.

It was 16, then it went to 0 after one loss (-17 LP), then i lost one more game and got demoted.

If you had 16 LP and lost that put you at negative LP. 0 is a placeholder, but really you probably lost 22-25 LP.

It displays 0, if you are ever at 0 in you sub-divisional games you can lose your spot with another loss. It is not like divisions (Silver to Bronze).

I've never lost 22-25 LP, only ever 15-19. Maybe it's different for Silver, but it sounds like he just -tanked- that last game, which would insta-demote him. At least he doesn't start S5 with 0 LP...

Won't he also recieve a free win? or is that only if your series failed?

Part of calculation of LP you gain or lose from games is based on how close you are to your actual rank. The greater the discrepancy in your rank, the more or less LP you will gain per game.

This is if we hold ranks constant. Meaning, everyone that is play is exactly the same rank. When there is a larger difference in rank, than this effects the LP calculation.

For example, say you are sitting at Silver 3 and you have played a lot of games at Silver 3. Riot thinks you are a Silver 3 caliber player. Thus for your wins or losses you will receive roughly 16-19 LP per win or loss.

But say you get better. Maybe you win 10 games in a row, because you improved as a player. The first several game games you will earn about what you averaged prior the streak. Once you hit 5 games in a row, you will begin to receive more LP per win.

Riot thinks you are under ranked, so the ranking system will begin to award you more LP per win. It usually increases with more wins you earn in a row.

The same could be said with losses.

Not 100% accurate but an approximate baseline

13-16 LP per win - Riot thinks you are over ranked. You must demonstrate improvement. You may have gone on a losing streak or are under-performing. You are probably losing games to players riot "thinks" you should beat..

17-21 LP per win - You are in the right spot. About 50% win rate most likely against these opponents

22+ LP per win - You are under ranked! Riot thinks you should be moving up based on you past play.

I have earned as much at 29 LP in some of my wins after getting on a hot streak. If you are earning 25+ LP per game you are probably under-ranked.

There's a 'buffer' to prevent you from going down with only one game unless you did REALLY BAD in that game / lost a bunch of matches in a row. Like. Promos-0 lost a lot of matches.

Mighta just been you, bud. Hate to say it. But I've -never- been demoted after only one game. It takes 2-3 games.

My mh in Silver 4 was only these games. Win Aatrox 12/3/11, Loss Cho Gath 10/9/12, Win Veigar 16/3/6 (16 LP Mark), Loss Aatrox 6/10/8 (Back to 0 LP), Loss Aatrox 2/3/1 <-Demoted.
