Since Cassiopeia's VO is being redone, will she get some gameplay changes too?

It's no secret Cassiopeia isn't as popular these days due to the mobility meta. Yes, she gets movement speed from her Q if she hits a Champion, but that's not the problem. The problem is that she has to stop to cast anything, and due to her being short-to-medium range, that can be a death sentence for her if she stops even for an instant. Add on that her combos are unforgiving in terms of difficulty, and that sometimes your E will miss hitting poison due to a time-out, and I think she could use some love (and not a tryst).

At the very least, Cassie's E should be castable while moving. You want her to be able to utilize that mobility of hers? Then stop making her stop to shoot! If that requires some nerf to compensate, I'm sure we can live with it. But that clunkiness? Impossible to live with that stumble.

Additionally, have you ever cast her E, but the poison on the target times out before the shot hits? Worst thing ever. Either the poison check should occur at the moment of casting (rather than the moment of impact), or the projectile speed of Twin Fang needs to be WAY faster.

She's a great champ. Pretty sure she has the highest potential damage of any casters in the game. She isn't played much because she isn't forgiving, but I like that. Not all champs should be dashing around the map- and the ones that do dash around everywhere need nerfs. Down with the mobility meta!

Thank the incoming Shurima patch. Don't expect gameplay updates.

Why not? I'm sure Riot wants Cassie to actually be picked these days.

They literally just nerfed her this patch. Because she's strong. :\ What do you want them to do when she's fine?

That was due to double-AP comps in Twisted Treeline, which is not indicative of 5v5's balance.

And tell me, do you want Cassiopeia to be a queen of clunky? Because I don't.

Cass has been one of the top three mages since before the double-AP comp meta. And I don't believe a hit to her W's damage is part of the attempt to alleviate early game pressure from dual AP teams, since it's not really what's causing that pressure to begin with. Cass functions better as the sole bearer of AP damage on her team regardless, since she doesn't offer the same utility as Liss, Karma, Lulu, Zyra or Orianna etc.

I don't understand with what you mean regarding "clunky". She's not clunky now, so unless you're saying there's a change in the works that makes her so...? Not really getting it.

I knew these threads would start popping up again.

:\ Can we not? Cass is great as she is, and not being popular isn't really an indicator of shit.

As a person who used to play Cassiopeia a lot, there is literally only one change she needs in order to become much more reliable and less frustrating to play as, as well as quite possibly fotm, (hopefully not)

FIX HER GOD DAMN ULTIMATE!

Cassiopeia's ultimate not casted from the centre of her model. It is casted from her model's face. While this makes complete sense when referencing this to her lore, the way her model positions her head when you use your ultimate results in creating a significant space between her centre and the beginning of her ulti cone.

This is absolutely unacceptable, as it butchers her only reliable spell vs the league of mobility fighters. Click and point gap closes are absolutely horrible for her because if you do not cast your are mid ultimate while they are mid jump, you will be unable ult them anymore since they will be in the blind spot of your ultimate. Compared to other cone spell's in the game, Cassiopeia's is inconsistent. This would be a really easy change that could result in a nerf to her ultimate range, but like all other spells in the game that have been changed to start at the centre, the range was increased, so it would result in a neutral change (in terms of range). But the added reliability would make a tremendous difference for her, and I would definitely pick her up again if they made this change, because currently, it feels awful to not be able to ulti when they are right in front of you.

Cassiopeia would become op if they removed her cast times, and I think they is necessary looking at the type of kit that cass has. However, the small fix to her ultimate would definitely put her in a more happy place for cassiopeia players.
