Vi needs damage nerfs.

She builds 4 tank items maybe boots and whatever else and she out damages anyone in game. Does that make sense to anyone? She can gap close easily and escape just as easily. She is far more annoying than Lee sin. I just want her to do realistic damage, not knock me up and two hit me.

Ok sure but why1 votes

I build her full damage and she still takes a bit of time to kill anything with more than 5 health

The you are a poor Vi player. (No insult intended) I have seen Vis with minimal damage take on all the damage dealers in a game and winning.

That is what a diver is supposed to do, right?

She isn't just a diver. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzIdS4BML0s There are swears in this video. Viewer discretion is advised. What I would want you to pay attention to, if you do not want to watch the whole video, which I recommend you should, is at 1:33 - 1:49. It simply stats what she can do from her flexible building and kit.

Vi item 1419 item 3022 item 3153 item 3006 item 3812 item 3071

And here is a Vi with Damage, melee sustain, and health but neither armour nor magic res.

Why Black Cleaver? With your true damage, who cares about armour shredding?

to be fair that's generally what bruisers have been doing for a while. I hate Vi more than anyone I know but her lockdown is more aggravating than her damage output. it's kind of necessary since they're melee and need to dive into the enemy team; they need to have strong base damage to make an impact, and that usually means they need to build tanky to survive, too.

the real issue imo is triforce giving a lot of these champions ridiculous burst damage. That's not a Vi-only issue, either.

Fighters are supposed to be durable and deal damage due to how they have no other defensive tools. Vi doesn't have Yasuo level mobility or a Fiora parry, she needs to be durable to punch faces hard.

She has just plenty of mobility. She has a missile guided punch to gap close, then a skillshot to escape and has easy free dives, just like lee sin. Yasuo is a fighter btw. Everyone freaked out when he built tankier, she may not be as super mobile around minions, but fighting Yasuo, tanky or not, around minions is a stupid move in the first place. As for fiora, she becomes a cancer champion with one unbuilt item item 3077 and she builds fairly tank as well, having the dueling skills of yasuo and having the durability of a tank.

Yasuo is more of a slayer than a fighter. Specifically Yasuo is a skirmisher whose lack of durability is balanced by his heavy mobility in combat (basically all the dodging and juking his E allows).

VI's mobility is not on the same level as Yasuo's. It's meant to engage and has the versatility to escape, but it doesn't make her as slippery as Yasuo. So she has to build durability to survive. Because of her kit, she can function without as much AD as Yasuo.

Please understand the difference between champions and their classes.

That is bull shit. Vi has plenty of mobility. LIsten she may not be able to gap close minions, so all she as to do is dash into the jungle and Yasuo loses all mobility. He has a straight line of minions to work with, she can dash any direction. She does Yasuo level damage from level 1. She has Darius level tank items. She may not be as mobile as yasuo gets to be in a straight line, but that is compensated with her fairly low cool downs on her gap closers which require nothing to use and can be used in any direction at any time to engage or to escape.

All I am saying is make her damage more late game. Yasuo's mobility doesn't make up for anything when vi can gap close him easily, but does late game damage off the bat. She can build her tanky items, all I want to see is her damage cut.

She's an early game champion. Why should she be pushed to late?

Her mobility just isn't limited to targets. Just cooldowns. It's only better than Yasuo's if there are no minions or neutral targets around.

Because she has Yasuo level damage, is mobile, and has durability. All fairly early in the game. That damage needs to take a hit.

Clearly you don't understand the diver class.

Though I agree that divers in general could use a damage nerf and be buffed to be more sticky. That way assassins can be the main melee burst group.

I understand divers, but they have too much damage for the sake of diving. That damage is carried over else where and they end up bursting like assassins, but don't build nearly as fragile.

No I agree. I think Riot will probably take away some burst and make them more sticky when they get an update.
