Why can you not choose to wait in a longer queue to secure the one position you enjoy?

I only enjoy playing jungle. That's it. Why should I ever be forced to play a position I don't want to play? I only have a limited amount of time to play, therefore I only have a limited amount of champions that I can learn to play. Having to have a champion pool at every position that I can play at platinum when I work a full time job and have a family makes absolutely no sense. If i'm willing to take a longer queue to ensure I play my position, why not?
