How are adcs ever a problem? (Why are they complained about?)

All (except maybe urgot and graves) are squishy. Annie is in the meta right now. Annie stun whether q, w, or ult will end the adc as her burst will ONE COMBO any adc. Vayne? Low ranged, her q invisible won't save her. Jinx? She might get one auto off on annie before annie gets to her. GG. Any adc can be countered by point and click cc ---> annie. Even kalista would get bursted by annie in one combo.

they all have either range or burst, actually. usually a combination of both.

LOL with Annie getting to the range of a well positioning carry and stay alive without flash is hard, very hard. If they have item 3140 item 3072 they will survive Annie's burst (usless she is fed) , cleanse her stun, and quickly outsustain her damage.

I see where you are coming from... the problem is the game is setup for team play. An ADC technically does more damage than a bruiser/mage/etc but it doesn't matter if the adc doesn't position well AND have support from their team. You can be 2500 gold ahead of a Vi in the early-mid game area and still get CRUSHED by her without your team support. She'll max range ult you and smash your face in before you get her under 50% easily.

That's the thing I think people forget a lot when playing ADC... It's not a charge in type of position. You have to stay in the back, pick your targets carefully and play safe. Your damage in sustain, not burst. And if you do not stick with your team and get their support all of that potential damage will be useless.

(aside - that being said... it is very frustrating to be 9-0 and typically be unable to 1v1 a 2-5 bruiser...)

ADCs are hardly a problem unless they are super-fed. Even then a good or decently fed Bruiser/Melee Carry will put an end to their killing spree if the ADC gets caught. It's a very technical role and a strenuous one.

Except they've always been a problem.

Remember the shiet that was in S3? Remember the never ending tank item butchering that so happens to almost always land on those that counters ADCs? See that bullshat BotRK? See Vayne and Jinx?

A group of champs that are designed to carry the lategame instead of having everyone carry on their own terms is already problematic enough, then it's only made worse by the fact some of them don't even have garbage early and mid to compensate for their broken late. Then there is the blatant catering when it comes to item balancing, it's bad.

ADCs as a whole is a fish tank that contains mostly either straight up broken or very badly tuned UP champs. Ofc they're a problem.
