Nocturne Passive Clarification

I've tried to find answers elsewhere but I can't figure out if the splash from Nocturne's passive "Umbra Blades" applies Black Cleaver stacks and Life Steal.

I thought it would obviously work with Black Cleaver since the splash is still AD but then I saw this rather old thread.
