The 3 most monumental and blatant lies Riot has told its playerbase in the history of league

Straight up manipulative lies just to "calm the masses".

Number one: "We want to move bot lane in a direction where ADCs arent the only carries" "We are working on changes to allow other carries to go bot lane"

-This blew up pretty hard on the boards when they said it but never will this happen. Just a straight up lie. Because for this to happen, drastic changes would have to be made to the game, its not something they can just fart out a new item for and expect mages or assassins or bruisers to all of a sudden go bot lane. If they did make a new item and we saw those new classes decide to try out bot lane, then the irony would be that the ADC winrates would actually skyrocket. Why? because there would no longer be the norm of one ADC directly laning vs another ADC and simply the team without an ADC would just lose. So in a way this would be a good thing cause people would finally be able to see the reality here, but for the new meta to work they would have to, as a result, significantly buff all other classes late game or nerf ADCs late game, I doubt they will do either. 10/10 lie.

Number two: "We will add an item to provide counter play for shielding" "We are working on an anti shield item dont worry"

• They wont. They said that like how many months ago? Funny how its considered unhealthy and lacking in "counterplay" when someone loses their entire health bar in .5 seconds BUT its not considered unhealthy when somebody GAINS their entire health bar in 0.5 seconds? Its not as if the shields charge up slowly to reach 2k or 1.5k , no they just happen INSTANTLY and without much cooldown. Is there ever an opening when they dont have shields or when their shields are "down" , nope they always have shields ready and even greater ones ready on demand.

Number three: After worlds was finished in 2017 and the preseason was about to begin. On surrender at 20 there was a Riot post about how they fully acknowledged that ADCs were probably too strong, and will probably be taken down a notch in the following season I bolded the part which was an actual direct paraphrase.

When they made this post I remember it blew up on the boards pretty hard. If anyone has a link to it, please post it. I tried searching certain keywords in google but i wasnt able to find it.

This last point is not about the arguement of whether ADCs are OP or not. Completely regardless of whether you think ADCs are broken or fine, the point is that they said they would do something directly to us, and they didnt do it.
