Like no matter how much damage the spirit takes, the end result does not actually kill you right? Just asking because I had an Illaoi do this to me three times in a match earlier today (I don't want to bring my match history into this...it has been a horrible day) and I'm wondering if TLD (which she had) had something to do with it.
I am Pacman5 votesIllaois E can kill, but just not by itself. All it does is damage you from as if you were standing next to her but you only take X% of her total damage.
Say he spirit transfers 60% of the damage.
You are full hp, get E by illoai end up with 40% left. By itself it cant kill you because it will only ever do 60% of the damage. If you are 50% hp get E by illaoi you end up with 20% hp. It CAN kill you if something else does the other 40% damage. If illaoi hits a tentacle on you and the spirit at the same time it effectively just increases her damage by a factor of 1.6.
TL;DR As soon as your hp is lower than the spirits because of damage dealt to you directly and not the spirit then you are in danger of dying.

I am Pacman2 votesUsually illaoi wont take thunderlords. It would be more burst on the spirit to get it down faster I guess but otherwise it would be the same as any other dmg applied to the spirit. 60% (roughly mid-late game) of the dmg will be felt by you.
