So whatever happened to removing the "puddle" on Zoe E

If she misses the skillshot there is no reason you should get CCd in preparation for her incoming one shot. This champion is terribly designed, completely focused around one shotting with her Q. She does not need this hand holding to one shot. They were planning on removing the "trap" on the ground after it misses, why did they remove it? Win rate / Ban rate? Maybe those don't numbers don't show she's a problem, but didn't they release about 6 broken champs/reworks in the meantime?

Stop Walking Into It.

Simple :)

usually because she is a mage and her E is the only CC ability she has missing it shouldn't make a mage with no cc , especially that it's not aoe

Zoe's CC isn't strong.

It's blocked by minions, the range is quite short without a wall to extend it, and there's a delay before you actually get stunned where you are able to pop a defensive cooldown, dash away, Cleanse, QSS, Flash, whatever.

Compare to Ahri's Charm. It has a longer range, a much shorter cooldown, the same initial damage, and the stun itself is instant. It even amps Ahri's burst.

Landing two skillshots and an empowered auto for a kill is not a "one-shot", and it only kills you from full health when Zoe is fed and you didn't build any magic resist.

Seriously, build a Banshee's Veil or QSS and see how hard it is for Zoe to actually kill you.

I don't think the problem is her "puddle" she leaves behind but rather the fact that she gets a marker whenever the target actually gets asleep. so she can reliably land her Q no matter what with the only real "counterplay" being someone else taking the 800 damage in their place. If she didn't get notified of where the person affected by the bubble is when there's no vision would really make it less frustrating when playing against her IMO

She sets a trap. Many Champions do this. Jhin, Jinx, Caitlyn, Maokai, Shaco, Ziggs, just to name a few. This trap offers zone of area-denial, like Lux, Morgana, Miss Fortune, Soraka, just to name a few. You know what the difference here is, though? All of the abilities I've mentioned before are point-and-click abilities. Zoe's Sleepy Trouble Bubble is a skill-shot. She needs to aim her ability and account for travel time and try to avoid unintended targets, unlike the rest of these Champions. And we should be grateful for that. Imagine if Zoe had it as easy as everyone else, and only needed to click where she wanted the Bubble's zone to be.

But let's say you still disagree. I'd say the closest ability to Zoe's Sleepy Trouble Bubble, in terms of how it behaves, is Zilean's Time Bomb. If he gets a direct hit, it affects the target, as intended. If not, it stays on the ground as a trap and offers area-denial. If you have such issue with Sleepy Trouble Bubble, then you should have the same issue with Zilean's Time Bomb.
