I feel a kinship between Mordekaiser and Sona mains

Both have been deeply cut by the rework blade. Both have felt the brute force of the nerf hammer. The only thing they don't share is an awful title... which I am thankful for. It's like if they called Sona 'the sound mage' or 'the woman of sound' instead of "maven of the strings"

I don't like Morde (mostly because of the pizza feet), and I don't feel affected by his rework since I don't use him... But I empathize. I really do.

The other difference is Morde became game breaking and Sona is now considered subpar.

She was already considered sub-par even before 4.13 was a thing. Now she's considered complete trash.

She saw competitive play (though not often) pre-rework even in S4.

Ever since her rework she's been MIA from the scene.

Seeing play doesn't mean she wasn't sub-par. The only pros that played Sona had more experience using her than Nami, the power gap was small enough that it became negligible by player familiarity. She still remained sub-par and the average support preferred Nami.

I don't recall Nami ever being a thing except on very few support mains who actually mained her.

Then clearly you did not watch LCS during season 4 where the only 3 supports seeing consistent play were Morg, Nami and Braum.

Nami was picked into Morg, Morg into Braum and Braum into Nami. There were a very few games that season by only specific support players that would choose Sona instead of Nami.

This all changed when patch 4.13 hit and even those few dedicated pros gave up on Sona entirely.

Riot: Alright now we will change Sona's title from "Maven of the Strings" to the " Queen of Music". We out Lata

You empathize for the players of a champion that is so incredibly good that he's been 100% pick/ban at worlds?

That's not their fault?? That's terrible design by Riot, not the playerbase. I empathize because their favorite champion became even more caustic than he already was, especially after he was promised a new role while still maintaining his solo lane presence.

90%. And good is not how any informed person would describe him

90% is the ban rate.

Combined with the pick rate he's at 100% (or nearly since he was last time I checked)

He went one game unbanned unpicked. I know I watched that game. Don't generalize unless you can actually back it up with facts
