The current meta is really fun
Atleast you cant blame the jungler for missing smite.

I think you mean this:
.
actually i think the ability to have smite in lane makes the game more interesting. i dont even use it, but at leats its not every champion picking the same summoner every single game.
the thing is, you dont have to go smite in lane. i like to lane with ignite and it has its own advantages. especially when it comes to putting pressure on your opponent. so does tp have its own advantages, when it comes to global pressure.
now we just need to replace flash with mark/dash and we have actual variety in summoner spells. want escape? take ghost. want to make agressive plays? take mark/dash.
no crutch for bad plays anymore.
If mark/dash is introduced to SR, it would have to have a ridiculously long cooldown. Because a free engage every 17 seconds would just start a 5-man bruiser meta

it wouldnt have to be that ridiculous. of course it wouldnt be the same as on aram. but make it between 40 to 60 seconds without the reduced cooldown on dash and it would be fine.
if you have played aram recently, the poke comps are already overwhelming melee comps with snowballs again since the last nerf to the summoner. which makes me believe that its close to being balanced there.
i dont think it would be difficult to do on summoners rift.

Nah,that won't do it,you are adding one aggresive dash AND removing flash, that should indeed make 4 bruisers+1 tank(support) the meta.
if you have played aram recently,
aram sucks.

Except that poke comps aren't overwhelming melee comps in current SR,sure as hell don't need buffs.

Would be impossible.
Manbearswine here is completely correct. Man kind has figured out how to make mechanic prosthetic limbs that we can control with our own nervous system. We have gotten man into space. We have even grown human livers in a lab. But I'll be damned if you kids think that implementing mark/dash into a video game is even close to possible...that's just out of the realm of human ability. It is LITERALLY (and I am using this word correctly here) impossible to put it into this game, and balance it so that it would work well with any meta that is not 4 bruisers 1 tank.
An optimization problem without any good maxima isn't that farfetched.
You making a comparison between biomedical research and an optimization problem with fuzzy-at-best feedback? Now that is a stretch.

yea, so what? the thing can get blocked by minions and it can be dodged. if you adjust the range properly (like make it a medium range skillshot), it can be balanced.
dont forget, that aram works different due to how little space there is to evade skillshots that are flying around, that its a lot more confusing due to the snowballs having the same color as the background and all the other stuff you constantly need to evade, and 5 people clearing minion waves. so its more difficult to hide behind minions.
the idea is, that mark/dash would be a good summoner for quick aggressive plays and ghost would make for a good chase/escape summoner.
and as you noted, this summoner would probably help champions with low inbuilt mobility, that are having trouble right now more than it would help champs that already have a lot of mobility, as it would give them a window to make a play about every 40 to 60 seconds instead of only with flash.
on the flip side, theyd also be more vulnerable to getting caught out, as they cant use it very well as an escape.

And be useless as there are way too many minions to hit it reliably.
Do you know who Lee Sin is? Given how reliable his is I don't think minions are a problem.

Negative.
LS can E minions to position his Q.
And every other champion with a dash can re-position to land mark. Your point?

If they can dash in, they don't have to flash. They flash because they cannot position themselves, is it not obvious.
Now if Flash is to become mark/dash, anyone who does not have a dash themselves won't be able to use it, and anyone who already had a dash won't even need to use it. Hence, useless for every single person in this planet.
Implying that those with dashes don't use flash...
It's pretty obvious.
If I don't have a dash, I'd like one. If I have one, I'd like another. Hence, useful for every single person in this planet.

I don't think we are on the same page.
The discussion is about Mark/dash, not flash. It's obvious that everyone wants flash. Mark/dash is a different story, anyone without dash will not take M/D, any everyone who already has a dash won't have a use for M/D.
I agree that we definitely aren't on the same page.

Im fine with smite in lane, im not okay with the item being insanly broken, im Fairly sure Rune glaive does more damage than it says it does. it just hits too damn hard to count it not as bugged. Than again i could be wrong but still it needs to be nerfed and im rather dissapointed that riot is releasing jungle items in such unbalanced states like this when they have the PBE who suppostedly complained about RG.
People will never stop blaming the jungler for everything and anything. He's the easiest scapegoat for whatever inadequacy you have.
Well yeah, it's always the jungler's fault. That's why.
I mean, who else could it be?
The support
(Don't worry, I'm joking too)
Certainly not me. Everyone else sucks except me.
I think
top fell out the meta. People realized it was very overrated.
is being nerfed as a laning item and buffed as a jungle item next patch. I haven't seen or heard about
bot lane. All I know is it's broken on Vayne. But you need to farm the jungle to make it usefull.
Runeglaive isn't getting a buff in the jungle, it's getting almost completely restricted to the jungle and is actually getting a nerf since they're removing the damage conversion portion of it
Huh? I didn't know that, I just saw the part where the are putting a mana regen on it when you kill a monster.
That's always been the case.
wasn't overrated, it got nerfed so that it's now a bad laning item. There's a big difference there.
No I'm just saying cinderhulk top was overrated.
I abuse the smite meta and still think it's annoying as fuck lmao
But hey, the more it gets abused, the more people complain about it.
The more people complain about it, the faster it'll get fixed :^)

All these posts about the Smite meta and I'm here still wondering if I should test it out in a game.
Not really worth, it's too much work to make vayne sated work, and the only "op" glaive user is ezreal, and pretty much cinderulk is weaker than sunfire as a laner.
I personally think Jinx or Corki might be more terrifying with Devourer. Yes that true damage is stupid, but think about it for a sec XD
Maybe jinx but corki would be terrible with it, because he is more of an ad caster meaning he doesn't autoattack enough to use it effectively enough. You need an ADC that is mostly nothing but autoattacks kitwise to make the item good, because most likely they will have steroids making the sated passive stronger etc.
Maybe, but as I was thinking as I was like "wait a minute":
they all have something to stack (besides Vayne).
Then I saw this.
.....thats not good....

The burn aoe passive wasn't why people were using it, so comparing it to sunfire isn't really accurate.
It is a health item vs an armor item with similar passives.
Sunfire is most definitely an hp item as well. Cinderhulk doesn't pay off as early on a tanky bruiser or tank in the top lane when you get armor and even more health from sunfire from the getgo. Also, sunfire does more burn damage to minions and champs. Practically no reason to go hulk anymore after the changes as a toplaner imo.

Having HP doesn't make it an HP item
is an HP item
is an HP "focused" item
does have hp, but it is an armor "focused" item
In the same way
has hp, but is an MR focused item
It still has more hp early and that isn't the point of what I said. In practically every way sunfire is better for toplaners until full item late game.
Have you ever tried
Cinderhulk top with Skirmisher's?
Don't. You nubbies will get my favorite late game monster dueling tank nerfed.
I just don't see the point in it lol. Not to mention I'm not a fan of shen, the only thing I like about him is his ult, the rest of his kit is really boring to me. Not to mention there are tons of better late game tanks stat wise, cc wise, utility wise etc.
A good Shen is hard to deal with, because he can split push all day and team fight in a matter of seconds. True, he's not as good as a Sejuani or a Jarvan when it comes to team fighting, but that Stand United makes him scary all game, especially when paired up with a damaging carry.
For example, I remember on multiple occasions having a 2v5 alongside my carry and holding our own just fine. Not really common, but it proves my point about his potential as a dueling tank.
I have played so many games where the shen couldn't even land his taunt, he is the least threatening champ whenever I play top lane. Besides I like to play
against him, so I outscale him and hardpush whenever he roams.
The invisible Righteous Glory aside, other than Warmog's there aren't exactly "health items."
Therefore Randuin's, Sunfire, and yes Spirit Visage are all "health items", contrasted with items like Frozen Heart, Thornmail, Banshee's Veil and Locket.
I agree on he generall statement, but...
...SV is a health item, contrasted with Banshee's and locket?!? Banshees gives 50hp more than SV for the same gold, locket gives the same hp as SV and less MR...

Wish I was less like this sometimes myself.
There just seems to be people like us that look at stuff a bit more then try it out in bots, then normals, THEN ranked.
Then you have the guys who yolo into ranked day one with Tahm/smite/support or some such and feed.
PEople give me crap for testing more before trying sometimes...but I'd prefer not to be Captain Yolo Feeder
