How do I not suck on Caitlyn?

Caitlyn's kit is honestly outdated.

She's designed to be a lane bully. You're supposed to use your massive range to harass the enemy adc away from CS.

but in 2018 she doesn't do nearly enough dmg versus any mage support, and she's just dead if she gets hooked.

Out of all of my adcs, I can't cs right on her. I also die a lot. Any tips on how to lane with her?

Hungry for kills? Not really last hitting? Improper runes? Could be many reasons.

try auto cs'ing on a level 1 mage sometime (excluding mages that get a stupid auto buff like oriana)

get that working, and suddenly, csing on any adc will seem like a walk in the park.

She's a weird champion imo. She's fun if the enemy team is passive or can't trade back, but a lot of ADCs and even supports have mobility to closer her 'range advantage' which is her highlight.

Increase her self-knockback range on her net and I think she can be unique again. As for the moment, try to just harass with empowered autos or when the enemy has cooldowns up or can't close your range advantage easily.

Utilize your range (650) as it is the highest of all ADCs and auto from safe distances!
