Can Leona get a slightly better AP rate?

EDIT: a couple people pointed out that her ratios are better then a few non-tank mages, and also pointed out that she would need to get nerfed elsewhere for any increase to her AP rates. So after some thoguh I think she may be best where she is. Continue reading on for Original post.

Seriously her AP rates are so craptacular that literally the only way to play her is tank. I have had some mixed results playing her hybrid, but it seems as though if you don't play pure tank with her you wont get anywhere. Which means you have no Ap giving items to even give her abilities AP to deal more damage. Pantheon's ult has immensely better AP rates then anything Leona has, but You can never really hit with Pantheon's ult, making it only useful for moving about the map when needed. Yet Leona can actually hit thing s with her ult, yet the scaling on it and her other abilities are so horrid that there is no reason to get an AP item on her.

This is just my thoughts on the matter though.

If she's to get better AP Ratios (not to mention that she has 4 scaling AP abilities and 5 abilities that deal magic damage), she would have to recieve nerfs somewhere else. And the fact is that she's really strong right now, so she would have to take big nerfs for even small buffs.

i think you're approaching the subject from one perspective, like hey man, if you're going to have that much cc, and the immense tankyness, then you really can't have the damage, it's as simple as that, why do you think they didn't let her proc her passive in the first place?

I know full well why she can't proc her own passive, and it's not only because it would then just be a better version of Lux's passive.

But anyway it would be a trade off really. You would have to sacrifice tank items to get AP items to get the AP to deal loads of damage, and then wouldn't be as tanky anymore.

But as I said, after some thought I think she is best where she is currently.

I don't think she needs better ratios, I think due to her MASSIVE cc, she doesn't need her ap ratios buffed :/

Believe it or not there are other champions that can stun you for longer than Leona can. Ash can stun you for 3.5 seconds. Irelia can stun you for 3 seconds. Leona can only stun you for about maybe 2 seconds.

ashe can stun someone for 1 to 3.5 seconds depending how far the target is. Its not that easy to land to get the 3.5 seconds you need to have good aim. Most people use it for short range so the stun duration last for 1 to 2 seconds. Irelia max stun duration is 2 seconds not 3 seconds. On top of that it depends on the target health to be able to stun. If the target health is higher than it will stun but if its lower it will be a slowed.

Yeah I get that about ashe's stun, but for Leona's stun the target has to be in the center of the blast, if it's not then they are only slowed. And I actually did not know they nerfed Irelia's stun to 2 seconds. But yeah I knew that her stun only works if she has less hp, which is easy to do as you only have to let them get the first hit in.
