Low Elo Mid Advice?

Im a low elo mid laner. I play AP Assassin Ekko main. I always notice that in my games the minions are always fighting at the opponents tower, if I go forward to try and get CS, I'm overextended and I get ganked, meanwhile if I hang back, I don't get any CS. Its so stupid and I have no idea what to do.

Also, I ward but I still get ganked if I overextend the slightest, how am I meant to stop this? Furthermore, whenever I go to gank bot, they ALWAYS see me coming and back off every single time, so I can never gank them.

Meanwhile, my top laner is feeding theirs or something and I lose the game

Someone help me :(

Don't play high skill cap champions people in low elo can't even handle basic gameplay requirements and they play champions like zed, yasuo, le blanc when they know only little basics about them. Play champions like annie, talon, kayle, and easy champions who scale well and could contribute in team fights.

Simplest solution would be to learn how to control the minion wave. There are a lot of threads and videos with advice on the topic, but the basic idea is to know how to control where the minion wave freezes by timing your last-hits and pushing appropriately.

If you can't control minions, I would recommend playing champions with safe long-range waveclear (i.e. Morgana, Xerath, Varus).

The minions are always at the enemies tower bc you are pushing too hard. Meaning, you are spamming q too much in lane or are not last hitting, rather you're just attacking the minion till it dies. And advice from a previously bronze, current p2 mid laner, roaming is the way to carry. Take a pink ward with you down when you roam and drop it in the bush and clear the ward. Then go back mid, clear the wave, and go back bot for the gank.
