I'd be okay with laning against Jayce if his e were changed to be less toxic to deal with for melees

You want to try to trade with Jayce when he gets a ranged q and goes in with q+w? "Nah, i think i'll use my e which deals % MAX HEALTH MAGIC DAMAGE THAT SCALES WITH 100% BONUS AD!!! HEHE XD YOU CAN'T DO A THING, GET OUTPLAYED NERD"

Seriously tho, either change the scaling so it's appropriate for what it does (idk make it deal flat damage that scales with ap), reduce the knockback range/mini stun duration of enemy at end of channel, or just rework it into something that complements his melee all-in style (empowered aa?). If he all-ins, then he's obligated to commit to the all-in, not some non-interactive bullshit. Right now, he puts most top laners on suicide watch because he doesn't allow them to counterattack meaningfully after he brings them to usually half hp with 1 full rotation. He could stand to have some power trimmed.

id be okay with jayce if he had to work at all to get damage off and win lane.

any work at all.

any amount of ksill and i wont complain.

but when hes designed to shit on everyone that isnt a ranged piece of shit and still have abiltiies that stop ganks, it means something is wrong.

Before complaining about a champion, go figure out how to deal with them and try it out.

Jayce is supposed to be a pain early game - that, along with mid game, is where he shines.

It's YOUR job to 1) bait out his E 2) catch him with his R on CD and in ranged.
