Rage quitters

If someone rage quits because the team wont surrender or they're playing badly can we have reduced points taken? I lost a full 22 because some guy rage quit, nobody said anything to him about him feeding. He tried to FF and then just left when we didn't hit yes. We played the game out for another 10 or 15 minutes. I don't think the rest of us should have lost a full amount of points because of some "team player" decides to quit when he doesn't get his way. Could we possibly (for the players who played it out) lose at least half the points?

How would your system be immune to abuse Keyoshi? That's the first question everyone will ask, and based on the above - it's simply a positive that if you're losing badly you can hope / guilt / poke someone into leaving to diminish the penalty. Overall toxicity could potentially increase in the game. I don't see a positive in this.

I'm not entirely sure how they would prevent it, it was just a suggestion. I just hate losing the max amount of points because someone left the game. I mean what they could do is have a system detecting the player that left and if the game goes on for 5-10 minutes it would auto read it. You have any suggestions on how they could implement this kind of system?

I'm pretty sure they call it leaverbuster.

But answer me this, and be honest. Did you have a reasonable chance of winning? not an, "if they screw up baron" chance, but an actual plan? Because if not, surrendering might have been the right choice. The game is about map control now. I once won a 75 minute game where we turtled for 45, with 2 people not surrendering every 5 minutes. We didn't farm our way to full builds, we got there by passive gold and they just couldn't crack the ziggs/heimer turtle.

And I hated every minute of it. It was stupid. But it can't happen now because they'll 5 dragon you and crush you with the super cannons from baron. If your only option is to pray they throw that hard, it's not worth playing on. just let the dude go, and everyone can start a fresh game.

Yeah we were winning team fights until we got to late game, thats when the 4v5 really kicked in. We were playing so well as a team and trying our hardest to end it early.
