I think you're forgetting that glass can be bulletproof... bronze is easily able to shatter, gold is acctually very soft. Silver is very resistant to bacteria. Basically it SHOULD be

Wood, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Glass (Crystal, sounds better) Plat, Diamond, Master (Senpai,. you're harder than diamond), Challenger (MCs' rival who is "Harder")

Bullet proof glass is laminated. Its not just glass. Bronze is malleable and doesnt shatter

Bronze splinters like crazy (Which makes it so lethal.) Also yeah glass can be laminated but it has a crystaline structure so it stays together a lot better.

Except matchmaking has everything to do with MMR, not the stained-glass window we call division/tier that they put in front of it.

Division/tier is just an aesthetic thing because casuals were too afraid to watch their ELO fluctuate, and Riot didn't like that.
