I would appreciate if someone higlighted the reason I play with players that ignore gold items.

Pretty much is.

If you're not taking shield on adc, shield/coin/spellthief's on support, spellthief's mid (if you can), or spellthief's/coin on top (if you can abuse it), you're basically trolling.

Except outside of my usual klepto illaoi top and gp item for support, I've never actually seen a reason to get a gp item in any other role. So again, you can keep your sass to yourself. I'm also entirely unsure of what my general level has to do with any of this, especially if this was a recent development.

Your level should be an indicator of having enough experience to know that without a gold item a support becomes a useless champion with a deficit of gold that cannot contribute properly to the victory of the team. That's why I am talking about it.

He's talking about supports not buying the gold gen item, not other roles, and he wishes he didn't get matched up with these "clueless support players" who don't know that youre supposed to build a gold gen/support item as support.

If that was said to begin with, then we could have avoided this. Instead I have someone mentioning gp items for every role, and no one either acknowledging or dismissing it as the thread progressed. It was literally the only reason I was confused.

It's not silly at all.

A team who properly abuses these items makes thousands more gold by 20 minutes.

Not going for these items is like purpisefully letting kills or cs go. You're basically trolling if you do that.
