I mained Tahm this season, even when people thought he was bad. This new season, though, I'm definitely thing to stick with him. With the right masteries (0-18-12) and a item 3065, Tahm will heal 63% of all poke damage he takes. But, if he has to pop his shield, it can actually be for well over 100% of his max life.

Your prayers have been answered. Tahm has been nerfed. They cut his attack range to 175 down from 200.

I'm no expert but that seems fairly substantial. It should hurt his ability to get his AAs off on you to stack his passive.

That is correct. A huge part of Tahm's lane dominance is his ability to poke champs over a minion wave
