Brand WAS a bit OP i feel - both as supp and mid. I have played him quite a lot the last 2 months, and his burst can honestly be ridiculous - AND has AOE on 3 abilities. Mastery changes buffed him, and high AP item costs buffed him (yes they do - high bases + low scaling = good with few items, where other mages are hit harder). Finally, LW rework means its almost impossible to kill him as and AD caster (minus izimode Yasuo).

Swain and TF i dont really understand - TF already doesnt do much damage, and since when was Swain a problem? Yeah a high winrate, but very low playrate and not hard to play against.

Honestly, mages are not in a bad spot now. I thought so after the changes in 5.22, but the result was fairly neutral overall. They have a good shot at taking down AD carries, something only your own ADC can do otherwise (again, AD assassins suffer). Tanks went from unkillable to even more unkillable with buffed MR items.

These buffed MR items actually poses the biggest threat - when you are fed as a mage, the opposing ADC can buy Banshees and pretty much mitigate all your damage. This has happened before to me - i was a fed Xerath in a team of noobs, and the enemy was a fed Tristana in a team of noobs. When i stunned her i could burst her, if she juked she could 3-shot me. Pretty fair right? She bought Banshees and there was nothing i could do - and this is even worse now. 1 item to almost completely remove a threat is a bit much.
