How to deal with Kled

I did a post yesterday about this with only 1 response.

I just want some advice on how to deal with him. Counters, etc.. He seems so strong, and cancerous to lane against. I didn't know the extent of the damage dealt by his abilities until I got wrecked by one yesterday. I spectated that's guys following game, and saw him destroy a Trundle in lane. While I watched I hovered over the Kled's abilities and read them. Holy shit, his ult at lv 3 was dealing ~38% of max health to whatever champion he rams into. And his maxed out Q (the chain/hook) dealt base damage + ~15% max health damage. Lastly, his E (I believe) gives him 150% AS for 4 attacks or 4 seconds? Jesus. I won't claim it OP until I hear some advice. I am probably just ignorant as to how to deal with him. Any ideas?

not really helpful but a rant

kled is really dumb, hes just one of those champions that riot pushed into the game even though it should've been clear his kit made no sense.

i feel like hell end up getting reworked in the far far far far future

Play Renekton , fiora or Aatrox against him

Trade when W is down. Without it, he literally cannot farm reliably. Q and E are shit for farming. If he autoattacks, it automatically starts. W is his hugest dueling power.

Dodge Q. Don't Flash if he E'd you once but not twice. CC him. Kill him when he's dismounted and weak. Save key abilities either while he's fully mounted or until AFTER he dismounted.

Pantheon is a pretty strong early game counter. Just dodge his bear trap, and then constantly harass with your q, once he's thrown a bear trap you can safe go in with your Q/W/E/Q trade and out damage him. Your passive will block a good amount of damage and if you time it just right it should block the 4th attack from violent tendencies. If you're going to take up this pick, I recommend first rushing a Death's Dance, item 3812 . It's a huge boost in sustaining in trades and winning duels, because Kled typically likes to build a item 3071 , which isn't a very good item into Pantheon because of Panth's passive.

Kled is a momentum character, as long as he doesn't get off to a killer start, pun intended, he has a hard time scaling well in lane and transitioning into teamfight stage. So champions that scale hard, like Nasus, Renekton, Nautilus, etc do well as long as you don't give up easy kills to Kled.
