Switching to Jungling

Hey all, I recently posted a discussion about switching from an almost Mastery 6 Ashe to a Jungling main. I've been trying out Graves, Amumu, and Rek'Sai pre-6.18.

I have no desire to get RP; I'd rather use IP.

Who would be another great champion to jungle with and why?

Thanks a bunch.

Zac seems popular. That's basically all I can say. I guess his clear is alright and his ganks too.

I could say the same for Gragas .

Good beginner Junglers?

Fiddlesticks Volibear Warwick Sejuani XinZhao

These champs have pretty safe clears and aren't too difficult to use. You many want to avoid the higher skill cap Junglers as a new player

Zac 100%

I think he was my first favorite jungler. Before that no one really ever clicked with me (maybe Skarner ... not sure), but playing Zac was some of the most fun I've ever had in league of legends. His E ability (where he jumps far and knocks people up) was so fun and satisfying compared to everyone else. I could fly through the map with it and become an unstoppable gank monster. He really is one of the most powerful gankers in the game and has excellent engage (of course, that engage is countered if the enemy team knows what they're doing, like poppy w, rek'sai knock up, thresh flay, well placed viktor w, etc.).

MonkeyKing is the whole package.

  1. Solid early
  2. Scales well
  3. Clears pretty fast
  4. Fairly easy to learn
  5. Can peel for the ADC
  6. AoE damage dealer/team comp synergy potential
  7. Can initiate fights/teamfights
  8. Stealth juking/ganking; decently high skill ceiling
  9. Can carry if ahead and snowballs pretty hard
  10. Point and click makes him reliable and consistent
  11. Less team reliant than most initiators because he has considerable damage
  12. Has a fallback pattern if behind as a tanky teamfight initiator
  13. Versatile build path; can adjust his build path for damage, tankiness or bruiser items
  14. Has both burst damage and sustained damage
  15. Synergizes with a plethora of items, particularly penetration and shred effects
