Riot, if Aatrox gets durability by life steal

Why doesn't he get lifesteal from his kit? All he gets is a 3 hit passive that restores a tiny amount of HP.

On the other hand, Yasuo gets double crit chance passively. Olaf, Warwick, and Irelia all get free life steal, and even Xin Zhao gets a 3 hit healing passive that also does additional damage!

Riot, can you at least give Aatrox life steal that comes from attack speed? Like if he had 100% bonus Attack speed, he'd get 20% bonus lifesteal. Or maybe even give him bonus attack speed that scales with life steal!

Oh god no.

Aatrox with item 3153 is already a menace to kill. Make LS even stronger and he'll be impossible to win lane against.

There is no reason to play Aatrox, when you can play Olaf, Shyvana, Lee Sin, Irelia, Jax, or basically anyone else who has free life steal. The only thing Aatrox has, is a revive, which just makes it longer to kill you since you do no damage and have no sustain of life steal

Unfortunately this is how meta works. He's not in a bad spot but compared to in the meta champions there's no reason to pick him. Unless there was seriously something wrong with his kit that made him too weak then riot would consider buffs but that's not the case so he'll stay like this until something about itemization changes at some point affecting him in some way.

There IS something wrong with his kit. He gets no sustain, and he only does damage if he does damage to himself as well.

Which is why your W is there, to heal the damage back from trading and your abilities. People play Aatrox in a weird manner but he's best suited to trading, healing, then slowly pressuring his laner more and more with his E harass till he's given free advantages in lane then tries to run away with those advantages.

His W heals are extremely weak, even when at half HP

Learn the difference between life on hit (ww irelia aatrox xin ) and lifesteal ( nasus passive or through items)

Also every good aatrox Player knows that that "tiny" heal every 3rd auto becomes massive once half hp because it triples and with a lot of attack speed you proc it very fast, you can even buy a rageblade and make It every 2nd hit.
