Happened to me again. i got dropped into what I later found out was a 4man premade. mmr boosting thinks they should get the premade bonus until they are supposedly at my level. they are nowhere close. FED THEIR ASSES OFF. 0 and 10, by 10 minutes.
please, please stop doing this to me rito. stop the premade mmr bonuses. makes for the worst possible "gameplay".

lil box1 votesUm no that's a terrible idea, the entire point of normal games (blind or draft) is so that you can have fun and play the game with friends. Disabling 4/5 man stacks in the game mode would just make the game more anti social. You say it's not fun to place against 5 mans but it sounds more annoying to lock the game mode to 3 stacks. Like cool I get to play with 2 friends and two random people instead of playing with 4 friends.
ps. in most games 5 man premades almost always get matched up with other 5 man premades
Metal Janna1 votesThe point of normals is to play for fun and learn new matchups and synergies without risking your rank. Not so you can abuse the power of teamwork to play highly unfair matches against uncoordinated randoms, some of whom aren't even trying their best. And five-mans don't get matched with other five-mans. That's not how matchmaking works in this game. In THEORY natchmaking is supposed to be weighted against premades, because the power of voice chat is strong, but in practice i've been matched against an enemy team who all had the "CCCP;" tag and still had a slightly higher MMR than my team of randoms. So clearly whatever bias Riot has implemented against premades is small enough as to fall within the algorithm's margin of acceptable variance. Which is not cool.
lil box1 votesIt is how it works, the queue prioritizes premades with other premades. I'm sorry but go play solo q if you don't want to play with stacks of 3,4 or 5 man groups. In most of my normal games I play by myself i've rarely come across 5 man premades, and even when I did I really don't care because it's just a normal game. When I do play with 5man premades again it's usually always another 5 man premade or a combination of 2/3 man groups.

Can you provide a citation for that? I did try searching it myself, "Matchmaking", "Prioritize Premade", "Premade", stuff like that, while checking the box for Riot Comments to see if I could find confirmation or denial, but nothing relevant comes up.

i disagree. in the rare cases I get to play with a 5man premade, I find it way more common to be matched against a full clan on the other team.

i agree with baker, it wouldnt be fair to stop people being able to play with 4man. HOWEVER.. there needs to be some way for solo players to opt out of a COMPLETELY UNWINNABLE match. which is practically every 4man premade I get dragged into. So I'd like a way of personally being able to duck out of those. Maybe an indicator of which teammembers are premade, so I can choose to dodge or something?
Because they aer really shoddy about even showing clan tags n stuff. Oddly, sometimes, I see only 2 with matching tags.. but then in ENDGAME credits or somesuch, suddenly I see all of them in same clan. I would dodge that garbage if I had a choice, but riot is currently taking away my choice.
AsTheSunSets2 votesWell to be fair the enemy team had equal rank Silver players and two unknown ranked. You were arguably the highest MMR player in the game amongst otherwise balanced opponents. Sorry you couldn't win still.
