whats wrong with top laners?

why are they so broken? i'm an ADC main, but when i get autofilled top, i have a 100% win rate.. just played a normals as trynd, and went 0/16 with a lee sin jungle that was afk for 10 mins. as soon as i had enough for my items, i can back, and split pushed top alone and got rift herald. when i get autoed in ranked i play chogath and die over and over, because i don't know how to play top lane, but i get to a point where i'm just unkillable and i end up soaking up all the damage in team fights, and help my team get away when they're low, and we end up turning the game around and winning, same with Garen and Ornn, and now Tryndamere also..

this happens EVERY TIME i play top. die over and over, get flamed for feeding (fair enough, i admit i don't know how to play the role) get an item spike. stop dying and solo push my lane and we win. literally how it ALWAYS happens.. top is so easy, what are you always complaining about? you have ZERO stress of carrying.. your ADC has all the responsibility, all you have to do is farm until you hit power spikes and can't die anymore.. if I, someone who never mains any top lane champs, can do it, then so can you. hell i suck, i'm high bronze low silver.. i'm no better than anyone else in this area of elo, but if i can pull this off, you high level players definitely can.

Just because you can pull it of in low elo doesn't mean you can pull it up in high level gameplay. That just absolutely makes no sense.

it does when you realize IM LOW ELO ALSO my skill level with other low elo players, is the same as a high elo skill level compared to other high elo players.

I think what they are saying is that the enemy is not as effectively using the advantage they are gaining from putting him behind. A more experienced player would be more likely to do so.

This is sort of what I was trying to say in my comment, albeit more detailed.

There is so many things wrong with this line, I dunno where to begin.

I would honestly say that this says more about the rank

I am not trying to bash you for your rank, I'm probably about the same rank, but I don't really enjoy playing ranked games, so idk where I actually fall.

One of the things that top laners (meaning champions that are typically played in the top lane) are not inherently good at transferring their power to other lanes.

Mid and bottom lanes are better at being able to roam to their counterparts and apply pressure there where as top lane fights tend to amount to two tanks slapping eachother with wet noodles and sustaining through all of the damage they receive. They don't often have great wave clear and mobility, so it is hard to get to other lanes without missing out on farm or using things like the summoner spell teleport. Some champions are definitely exceptions to this.

BUT, as I said I think this has more to do with the rank and the player's lack of experience in when they should be roaming and how to transfer their power to different lanes. When your enemy laner gets a kill or forces you out of lane, or when their jungler ganks with the same result, .. they should be pushing the wave under your tower, causing you to lose gold and exp from those minions, and applying pressure on other lanes while you are gone.

The general rule of thumb is that the middle lane is where you want to transition all of your pressure. Mid lane is the shortest, and gives you the most control over the map, allowing you to pressure objectives. The second priority during laning phase is usually the bottom lane because controlling middle and bottom gives control over the dragon pit. If you look at the opposite side of the map, Rift Herald is simply not as important of an objective, ESPECIALLY in lower ranks.

You would say, "but what about Baron" .. by the time that Baron spawns, most games have left the laning phase, and started team fights. As you said before, this is where you start to become more useful. Having reached your item spike and being able to apply pressure where your team isn't, you are able to divide the enemy team so that lanes that did better are able to maintain even or favorable number's. If the enemy team does not acknowledge you, your team might have a disadvantage, but you are still applying pressure on other lanes.
