Riot it is time to consider another Dota 2 system
Solo and Group Ranked stats for each person.
Why? Because these "golds" and "plats" who are in a group with a Diamond or two who carried them out of Bronze or Silver should not be able to so easily gloat about their rank.
Yes it is a problem with the system and yes I think it would be for the best to make people be able to see they are Plat in a group but solo they are only silver. It is kinda like 2 different game mentalities between the 2.
No need to split the player base between solo and DQ just have 2 different MMR rankings to display solo and group. And Yes this means that the person who got plat in a group will not be viewed as anywhere near as skilled or valuable as the solo who is plat or higher solo.
And if you need farther incentive to keep and play both solo and in a group make it so that you need to average Plat between solo and Duo or be be gold in solo. That should not be impossible for good players to reach if the seasons victorious skin is that important to a player.
