I think she'd do far better with an Optimus Prime tbh, it works better in the actual meta.

Not sure why it's surprising that Kat with a Negatron Cloak can outdamage the person she's against (assuming their build is just a Blasting Wand).

Negatron Cloak won't add to her damage but it will reduce what she's taking, i.e. cancel out your Blasting Wand. So it's as close to base damage vs base damage as possible. And considering she's an assassin with no utility, I'd like to think she should win in the damage war.

Katarina winning a trade where she uses QEW should happen, because she cannot do anything outside of that trade whereas a mage can be continuously poking her as well as doing proper trades. If Kat can't win a trade where she properly goes in then you're saying she should be unable to do anything at all in the laning phase, because she can't win poke wars. Find something real to complain about - nobody with sense will ever say "Katarina should be completely unable to function in lane".

Could you tell me the numbers please? I'm really curious, because QEW base damage is not that big, and if someone let Katarina use her full ult i can just laugh about how bad they are.

QEW is 575 total base, and she gets 1325 total base including a full ult channel. (this is for max ranked abilities)

Morgana will do 540 to 660 with QW if the target is stuck in W for exactly the duration of Q's root. The total base with both ult procs and the target stuck in W for the full duration of 5 seconds (possible, if the 3 second root and 1.5 second stun are chained properly) is between 1300 and 1500 damage total from base.

Leblanc has a best case of 835 from WQE, and a best case of 1435 from WQRE or WQER.

3 max range Javelin Tosses from Nidalee do a combined 1350 damage.

does 768.75 with EQW before counting his passive. If you are unlucky enough to also get hit by three bounces of his R this goes up to 1818.75.

Anivia can do 710 from base with QE.

Annie QW does 470. With the initial damage from R it is 895. If Tibber's hugs you for all of his 45 second duration, this goes up to 2695 total damage.

Fiddlesticks W can do up to 900 damage, and his R alone can deal up to 1625.

My favorite combo is to take Ignite as my first summoner spell, then Distortion Mimic Chain Sigil Ignite. Not because it's good, but because I can then say 'You got WREQD!' in all chat when I kill someone.

Thats... kinda what defenses are for ya know? Against an AP Negatron reduces the damage she takes, so of course she can out-damage them with her bases. Especially early when you mostly just have bases.

It's a good thing she doesn't have cc. I know the "just cc her noob" joke going around, but her ultimate is interrupted by simple things like knockups. Counterpicking her is easy, and timing is essential.
