Before I report it as a bug, am I crazy?

I was playing as Soraka against a Nami, and my Q would hit her full on tail and it wouldn't count as hitting her? I' m not sure if it's actually a bug or not, but it was weird to me as I don't ever recall having a problem with my Q not hitting. I'm not sure if it was her skin or not either, she was playing with the Splendid Staff Nami. There were so many times that my Q would hit her right on the tail, how does that not count? Am I crazy? League hitboxes can be a bit weird. Every champion is represented in-game as a circle of one of a few sizes, regardless of the actual visual shape of the champion. Some, like Nami or Aurelion Sol, can have animations that momentarily put bits of the champion's model outside of their actual hitbox.
