The only thing that i find illogical and truly frustrating in Yasuo

Im taking advantage of the last few days' Yasuo hatepost spree but i don't intend to write a hate-post myself. I just want to discuss something in his kit that i think is broken. It doesn't mean it's OP it means that it is not healthy or clean design. If i share my thoughts about his kit now maybe I'll get some decent replies instead of the git gud nab type of shit. So here we go:

I cannot understand ho his wind wall is supposed to work. my problem is that it doesn't work like a wall.

-It blocks most projectiles on cast in 180 degrees in front of Yasuo. I play a lot of champs that use projectiles and it has occured several times that i waited for Yasuo in a teamfight to cast his w in another direction so i could get my abilities to actually reach him. Now even when he cast the ability sideways to me and i was firing straight at him with projectiles parallel to his wall it blocked my abilities.

-During the laning phase i usually try to walk trough the wind wall and cast my abilities after i had passed the whole thing behind yet they often get blocked this way too. For example If i get through with Vel'koz i usually get full combos simply negated by a wall that is completely behind me. Another more annoying phenomena is when as Vladimir i walk through the wall and when already behind it blocks my whole e ability. Not only the part that is flying at the wall but the whole circle of the Vlad e. It is absolutely confusing and infuriating.

-i don't understand how Yasuo's w can block something that has already past the initial zone that the wind wall is first getting cast at. So even if you basically almost hit Yasuo and the wall appears behind your projectile it sill blocks the ability.

-I am not sure how a wall can block something that flies over it. I mean how can it block Zilean's bomb when it simply doesn't even touch the wall

-The wall also blocks Zilean bombs if it appears right after they land. I have had countless bombs blocked after they actually hit the ground and the circle that is counting down has just appeared. It's really frustrating to be honest.

My problem with this is that many of these occurances are just plain stupid. If it's a wall that should block abilities from a certain angle why doesn't it work like that? I never now what to expect when dealing with a wind wall.

Yasuo's windwall is a solid rectangle which deletes any projectile that intersects pixels with it. Hence the weird sideways thing. That was intended.

Yes, the windwall works both ways. That was intended.

If the windwall deletes an ability, it deletes the whole ability, not just the part that hit it. That was intended.

The windwall appears from the center/behind (forgot which) of Yasuo, which means he can block a projectile even if he casts it late because it appears from further back. That was intended.

There is no "flying over". Those are just visual candy things. Anything with a movement speed of its own that travels is considered a projectile. Hence, things like Zilean's bombs are also considered a projectile. That was intended.

The post-landing anti-Zilean bombs is a bug.

Note: I do not agree or disagree with Yasuo's windwall doing any of the above, just stating so you can see.

Intended? I'd say more a refusal (or denial) to sort out the spaghetti code.

Well basically. But Riot wouldn't admit that. So it's "intended"

I know, if you look closely you can see them bite their tongues in most patchnotes.

I have a feeling you don't get what i am trying to say here.

My problem is not what it does. my problem is that you don't expect it. It's not what it appears to be. It is a thin wall that floats slowly at a certain direction. If something doesn't even touch pixels with it the it shouldn't block it. -> Adjust the model to the hitbox / adjust the hitbox to the model

I didn't say anything about it working both ways i have absolutely no problem with that. What i don't understand is that it blocks abilities when it's not between me and Yasuo anymore. Usually when i just pass through the wall so that BOTH my champ and yasuo are on the SAME side of te wall if the wall is still close to me like almost touching my back it blocks the ability that would fly in the direction of Yasuo. So they do not touch but my skillshot gets blocked.

The wind wall doesn't delete whole abilities. It deletes whole projectiles that travel into it. The Vladimir example is a specific case of the phenomena i talked about previously. The Vladimir e has a huge amount of projectiles in it all covering a few degrees of the whole cirlce. Normally the windwall only deletes the part of the ability that hits it. it works like this: Imagine you are throwing a great amount of shurikens at all degrees around you at once. If in front of you there was a wall someone hiding behind it wouldnt get hurt because of the shurikens bouncing off the wall. The rest of the shurikens though that didnt fly into it would continue on their original path. Now the case that i listed as problematic is something like this: In front of you there is a man and behind you there is a wall. Now if you had thrown the shurikens in a circle again you would be surprised if just because some bounced off the wall behind you the rest would suddenly disappear and not hit the man in front of you or anything else. The reason for this is that the actual hitbox ( the rectangle you were speaking about) doesnt match the model on the screen. So when i go through the wall and release E even though my character is past the wall's model it's invisible hitbox is still around me. That's how the Vel'koz q gets blocked and all the little projectiles of the Vladimir e get negated by being inside a rectangle that actually appears to be a much thinner one on the screen.

The Zilean bomb thing only annoys me because it looks quite silly to be honest. I completely understand how it is a projectile it just looks stupid.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing. I'm just trying to explain why things are like that.

The hitbox is very weird.

And no, the wind wall deletes whole abilities. Nami ult is deleted altogether if even a single particle hits it. Same thing with Vlad E.

Well i thought knew it for sure that it only deletes the projectiles from the vlad e that hit it but i am going to test it now just to be sure. I'll be back with the results.

No, you are correct. Clas e works as several projectiles while Nani wave works as 1 single projectile

That's what i was thinking yeah. So basically i am not surprised f 1 single projectile no matter how big it is gets blocked but Vlad e is a huge amount of different projectiles. It has happened several times that while Yasuo hid behind his wall i still got creeps with my e.
