How to counter Hecarim?
I constantly keep dying against him, I still havent figured out his weakness

You just have to be a hypermobile tank juggernaut DPS enchanter assassin to handle him, ezpz.
You called?
i mean, i guess he counts as an enchanter because of the AS buff on his e lol
I hate that J4 actually applies to all of this.
Hecarim becomes progressively weaker as the game goes on. So long as you don't lose the lane you'll have a good chance of winning the match.

Not true. At 0 items he's okay At 1 item he's meh At 2 items he's insane At 3 he's unbearable At 4 he kill you if you're less than 2k hp & 100 armor within 2-3 seconds At 5 he'll outduel most champions, tank ridiculous amounts, self heal and provide AOE damage to chunk melees/backline.
Actually, one thing about hecarim self healing, is that the heal mostly comes from the backline carries (if you don't know what I mean, his W heals him for 30% of the dmg enemies take from ALL sources when in the circle, including his backline) . If you manage to have some teammates aggro the enemy backline and keep hec from getting within W range of them, Hec heals from barely anything in team fights, especially if he builds tanky and not Death's Dance.
Also, I'd say he's only a good duelist during laning phase. He definitely loses duelling abilities later, at the cost of being a great engage and disruptor. Renekton, Jax, Nasus, Kled, Urgot or any real Juggernaut or bruiser can survive Hec and out duel him, given they are equal in terms of items, and play well.
Zilean takes fat dumps on him
As a hecarim main, there are really two main ways that you can counter him.
The first way is to slow him. As you know, his passive grants AD based on his bonus MS. Runes such as glacial augment can do great harm to hecarim is used properly.
The second way is to displace him. Anything with stuns, polymorphs, binds, knockups etc is very lethal to Hecarim. Chain CC is also essential to countering hecarim. Brand's R, Morg's R, and Ornn's R are three very good ultimates that counter Hecarim. Jarvan's ult is also good as well, but using that ability is only best when Hecarim's R is down.
There is also a third way to counter Hecarim: Outfarm him/outgank/counter gank him.
Because Hecarim horribly scales into late game outfarming him in the early and mid game enables Hecarim to be flexible, making him run jungle routes that he shouldn't be running, and causing him to occupy a lane if you out farm him by clearing unoccupied lanes and/or counter jungling.
Counter jungling is the most effective way to slow Hecarim down. Warding his red/blue buffs and taking them when he's ganking will cause him to stay in one particular side of the jungle more often, causing your team to get objectives a little easier.
Because Hecarim needs to constantly pressure lanes in order to get stronger, applying vision to parts of the map such as the pixel bushes and the tri bushes, as well as counter jungling him when he is seen in a lane will put him really behind. Use your jungler to apply vision in enemy territory, and if possible, let him stay in a bush in a lane, so he can either lane gank, or counter gank from lane, which is Hecarim's weak spot.
I don't know if it is a bug or it is intended but Jarvan can stop Hecarims's R with his R. Just save Jarvan R for when Hecarim ults.
I havent really played against Heca toplane much at all but i know a couple of small things.
First up, avoid letting him engage on you when he has stacked his Q buff(boosts his damage) beforehand. He´ll look to get two stacks on minions first before running down ontop of you.
Second, avoid fighting him when he uses W, similarly to say Irelia´s passive or Jax E its a powerful buff when it get used so fighting him while its up is not good.
Luckily it has a rather high cooldown which is what you´ll aim at playing around.
Some champs can also aim at buffering his E and R CC but its really a case of "some", dodging his ult entirely is also a very ideal thing but not doable for everyone.
You dont have to avoid fighting him with his W up. Either run ignite or get some form of grievous wounds and you can still trade him even if he has it on.
Not everyone can build grievous wounds well really, many AD champs especially cant really use
as it cant be upgraded (and its too wasteful to leave it for them) but ignite is a fair advice.....well at least for fighting him, not trading with him.
Damage oriented AP all like
so they dont have it too bad, although its expensive but at least its not a dead item.

Don't forget stuns and slows can reduce his AD.
You reduce the AD bonus he gains from the extra movespeed via his passive, its not anything big at all at the points where you can actually still hit him.
When he starts moving real fast and that passive spikes its already too late :P
You ban him, he's just OP now

You ban him, he's just OP now
11/10 garbage comment IGN.
@OP:
Use your E to disrupt his E charge. Play always around your pillar when he wants to all in you with his E. Use your Q to chunk his AD. Auto him when he trades with you. Your AA range is not bad, and you are really beefy. small extra: if you ever get him stuck wih your E against a corner or wall, its gg. Unless he has ult, he might escape.
Other notes:
If you play smart, he can't dive you. He has better teamfight potential than you. You have better dueling than im. You sustain better than him thanks to your passive. Its better if you buy mercs more than tabis on the long run.
-If you go splitpush Trundle, you will need BoTRK and trinity force. Rest of items, defense according to their comp. -If you go support Trundle, you will need to ask someone else cause support Trundle is not my area.
3 choices
1.Ban him 2.Play as him 3.Uninstall LOL until he gets nerfed
Dont play jungle but it seems like my jungler cant outroom, outjungle him.Why is he busted now?
get zhonya's, play a champ like fizz or vlad who can't be targetted, otherwise die, if assassin hecarim comes running at you and he isn't behind you gonna die
FUZZY!
Have you seen my bear tibbers?
W his overpowered run.
Helicopter.
I heard you liked abilities. Oh and now your dead. DEMACIA.
Please stop moving my little pony.
Lol he killed himself.
You right, you're blind.
Mmmm kill me? No. You're critted though.
Chillax friend.
Zhonyas as a Mid laner is invaluable against him. Other than that try slowing him before his E, so he doesn't have a million AD. Try juking his ult.
Honestly they just have to change his E to be blocked by spellshields and make it possible to Flash/Blink it instead of just getting hit by it anyway afterwards.

I do believe it is blocked by spell shields.
Hec's E is a modified auto attack. There's no way to avoid them unless you're Panth with his passive up, Jax/Shen with their E and W respectively, Teemo with his blind or Fiora with her W. Flashing an auto attack will still result in it hitting you.
Even then, avoiding the auto still knocks you back though.
From what I can tell you need some form of hard cc. Pushing the lane is difficult agasint a hecarim because he can ult from the fog of war and the moment you are feared is what end your life. you will need wards on both sides of gank points from raptors or wolves. i.e you would want to ward the bush in river that leads to blue and the one over the raptors part that way you can see hec either coming down the river or going into the bush to gank from behind ya if you're are pushing. Note: you want to hug the side that you warded that way if decides to gank from the unwarded part of map you can just walk toward you're warded section to avoid the gank and use your hard cc to stop him if he gets too close. i.e lux bind, morgana q, anvia q, LeBlanc E (if you play it right), Xerath E(should be very hard for a hecarim to gank this champion since he plays so far back), etc
Play taric and go q, auto, auto, repeat until he is dead then spam your laugh when you are full hp and he is dead.
Truthfully,
He's my go-to ban if my teammates don't ban him. I think the grievous wounds buff on
and
will help, especially mid/mid-late game.
Late game he normally goes GA, so by that time you can probably have enough CC to at least sustain him and try to get vision of where he is on the map.
Ward or get your team to ward his jungle so you know where he starts. Get a sense of how long his clear takes and don't push early when he has a chance to gank and you haven't seen him on the map. Deep ward mid game, buy pinks and consider blue trinket - even if he clears it, you'll know where he is and can replace it - and preventing ganks is priceless.
Assuming he doesn't snowball, his mid and lategame aren't great - he's a mid-tier duelist at best, and his teamfight is actually pretty weak as long as you don't clump up for his ult. His biggest strength at that point is making picks, so don't wander alone without wars coverage.
Anti heal is pretty good I think
W
Honestly, I dont think you do.
Just CC him
Hes either horrible or hes broken, we are in the swing of him being broken right now. Especially considering conq buffs and his W and spirit visage healing, hes practically an invincible drain tank who can one shot, similar to renekton right now. Either get lucky, have a stronger early game jg on ur team, or just wait for him to get nerfed.
Or you can just perma ban him like a lot of people do right now

2 displacements, stun, spammable slow, w shuts down his e engage and burst; just pick up
./
and laugh in his face.
Okay so:
In the off chance that you ever see a Predator Hecarim, refer to this video. Especially if you're on Blue Side, shove with your ADC early, try to bounce the minion wave by the second or third wave, try to set up a freeze, and turtle hard. If you're on Red Side, you have a lot more freedom to play as aggressively as you'd like depending on how the Junglers play off each other. Especially if you're on Blue Side, get a Ward on the enemy's Blue Buff or the ramp to the river or at least a deep ward in the river by the third wave.
As for Conqueror Hecarim, there are 3 key Jungle Routes that you should be aware of. 1: Red->Kruggs->Raptors/Crab/Gank 2: Red->Opposite Crab->Blue/Gank 3: If [the Hecarim] is on Red Side, Blue->Gromp->Crab->Gank (usually Mid).
Since in Solo Q 90% of Junglers always start bottom buff, the first two routes are relevant when you are on Red and the Hecarim is on Blue, and the 3rd route pretty much only happens if Hecarim is on Red (Very little reason for a Blue Side Hecarim to use the Blue Buff start).
So, let's say Hecarim is on Blue Side and you're on Red Side. The standard route for a Hecarim is route 1, and the counter to that is relatively simple. Ward the Tribush as late as possible, let's say the 1:10 mark before leashing. If you see Hecarim pass by there lv2, back off for about a minute. By then, he'd have killed the Scuttle Crab and is rotating Mid or Raptors, far away from you. Proceed to play aggressive for the next 3 minutes.
The second route is an alternative to counter strong Red Side Junglers with a Blue Buff start. Technically speaking, if Hecarim takes this route, you're completely safe, at least until Hecarim does a full clear (idk Hecarim's clear speed or health btw). It does however put the rest of your team in danger early on. While you ward the tribush at 1:10, try recommending your teammates to ward the River ramps (both of them closest to Mid) or at least the Pixel Bushes (those small bushes in the middle of the River) at 1:20 or so. The topside ward is waaaaay more important so really try to get your Top or Mid to get that bush. The bot side ward next to Hecarim's raptor camp is much less important however, as he will either need to take a wildly inefficient route or cheese Mid to get anything out of that route. It's not the end of the world if no one else wards. However, it does open up breathing room for you if you happen to see Hecarim on the opposite side of the map.
The third route is for when you are on Blue Side. The simplest measure around it is to simply not play stupid Lv1. No, really. This route works best cutting straight through Mid Lane to control both crabs, so as long as you and your ADC stay quiet for the first two waves, you'll have freedom to do whatever you want for the next few minutes. I do however recommend warding the Pixel bush or Hecarim's Blue Buff ramp at about 1:10 though. This will help you confirm if he's doing this route and if you and your ADC need to keep your heads down for the first few waves.
There is one minor hiccup you'll want to keep an eye out for. If your Jungler goes straight from his buff to his respective Krugs or Gromp, you should hard shove Lv1. Most likely the route your Jungler will take is Crab 3rd cramp. This means one of 3 scenarios. Either Hecarim matches him for Crab 3rd and a fight will break out, Hecarim moves to the opposite side of the map, or Hecarim tries to cheese someone. The third is unreliable and a little dumb, and if you have the Tribush warded you should be safe from cheese should you pay attention. This means you either need to shove so you can roam and help your Jungler if there's a fight over crab, or Hecarim isn't even gonna be on your side of the map for the next few minutes and you have a free opportunity to play as aggressive as you'd like.
Past that point, Hecarim is a Dive Fighter. Treat him the way you'd treat Vi or J4 (or treat him like an Assassin). Unless you can catch somebody out for an easy kill, save any significant CC ability you have until you know exactly where Hecarim is and make sure he's not useful. I know some people on the Boards like to pretend that CC affects everyone equally, it really doesn't. Especially in the early to Midgame while Dive Fighters are still squishy, CC is both a death sentence and a quick path to irrelevancy for squishy Melees. Later on in the game as Hecarim switches from Sterak's Gage to straight up Tank items, Hecarim shouldn't be the massive pseudo-Assassin threat that he was earlier in the game bullying you as. Especially if you pay attention in the early game and step on his toes where you can, you can be one step ahead of him every moment he's dangerous until he eventually falls off.
Note: These notes work with the vast majority of Junglers, so if you ever have any trouble with any Jungler in the future, pay attention to their paths. Also note: Scuttle Crab may be reworked in the near future. Jungle Routes will change if that's the case.
People are giving horrible advice.
Or..... they just don't know the champ.
Passive: Hecarim gains 15% − 30% (based on level) of his bonus Movement speed icon movement speed as bonus attack damage.
In other words, all his damage scales with move speed.
Slows are the #1 counter to Hecarim, because it cancels out what amounts to up to 136.5 Bonus AD (800 move speed = 70-136 Bonus AD, and Hecarim on full speed items can go higher than 800 move speed during his engages).
If Hecarim is running Predator, this is doubly helpful, because slows both reduce his own damage, and predator's, and negates a lot of the move speed gain from Predator as well.
as a first item on almost ANY champion, will heavily counter Hecarim all game, and will force him to use his ult Defensively to run away, rather than offensively to Fear and get away with his W > Q resets.
It will also reduce the attack range he gains on his E charge, as well as the duration of the Flee from his ult.
Slows literally do everything to destroy Hecarim, other than the Unstoppable on his Ult.
Armor is also why I suggest Iceborne, because when you couple Armor + Slows vs Hecarim, you sabotage his entire build, which is based around Triforce/Armor items, and he rarely if ever builds Armor Pen/Lethality.
If he goes Conqueror the damage is a little less mitigateable, but it's still manageable, and if you follow a
with a
, you can take out his heals as well.
I know Armor isn't universal advice, but don't underestimate it. I've actually built
on an
and just destroyed a Hecarim, because MF just happens to be a master of all items who can build anything and fundamentally carry a game. I'd go
+
, 2 Crit items and 1 Lethality..... gets up to 5800 damage ults, and destroys teams.
Well as a lux main I haven’t really lost to hecarim. A simple root or putting down e for slow easily kills him. He’s very squishy and can easily be killed with solid cc.

I constantly keep dying against him, I still havent figured out his weakness
Jax is what i use to counter him when i jungle
top lane heca is a beach, he quickly stacks conqueror and chase you up spamming q doing true dmg its really annoying, recently had a game against it, and every time we fight we both died, riot will have a hard time balancing him on top lane.
I wonder what jordash said.
If u are playing vs him on top lane, don't even fight him whole early game, just farm. His healing with conq and w is too strong, while u are getting dmged and your dmg is outhealed. I've played as jax, and after trinity i just killed him, but i've really didn't make any trade with him to this point, just was farming, and securing bushes to not get ganked.
I don't really know other bruiser match ups that would work, but i guess trynd, fiora, riven, kled, nasus, rene would do the job, just be careful early game because his sustain and dmg early is insane.
U can also play any mage on top lane against him with decent wave clear, so he will be doomed.
And overall his biggest weakness are slows, and nasus, zilean slows just rape him pretty good when u got them in team.
try to catch him off-guard, when you notice that he's just Horsing around
All I can think of is
I've also had a lot of luck against him taking
in the mid lane.
