I loved playing it with my friends, it was hilarious. All the other gamemodes are dull and boring.
I don't care that it wasnt as popular as Riot expected it to be, I also don't care how buggy it was, If they refine and polish it more it would be as fun as teamfight tactics.
Nexus Blitz was literally the only selling point that I could bring to my friends who stopped playing. But hey, what kind of business would try to retain customers?
Donno how you could compare NB yoo TFT.... too me theirs no competition. Tft ticks me off more than release zoe and yet I still play it during downtime of other games or waiting for friends. I would much rather lose 100 rounds in NB just to play it.
To those who don't like SR/tft and can only stomach so much ARAM it was the best game mode the game ever had (never played ascension or dominion).
Odyssey was definitely my favourite.
Not only was it difficult and tested even the best, it had so much to it. The augments were 100% what made the game mode amazing with all the different ways you could play. It brought me back to the good ol season 4 days before they added the dumb shit like runes reforged and started removing stuff for the sake of money.
The missions that came along with it were also nice, although fuck the fact that some loser could ruin your 2 augments run because he was on a 3 or 4 augments mission.
Dark star thresh, Ascension/Dominion, and Nexus blitz were my next three I think.
I think the reason I liked it so much (and this also applies to URF/ARURF) is that it is a mode where you could pick any champion, absolutely any champion you desire, and go anywhere. You don't have to worry (as much) about lane, role, what is good, etc. SR doesn't have that really. Now that TT has been lost, which was the closest mode there was to offering this, it hurts (the bots just moved to co-op vs. A.I., the OTHER mode that offers this). As a mode, neither NB or URF is really "better" than SR... but at the same time, you can jump in queue, pick whoever, and off you go... and that appeals to me these days, all in the time an SR lobby is abandoned because someone dodged halfway through pick.
ARAM is still great for what it is, but it differs in that it's a one lane teamfight from the start, and you can't pick your champion.
I remember thinking I'd like the very original URF, only to dislike it after two or three rounds. When ARURF came back around last Christmas, I fell in love with it, especially as it came right after NB. I went from not playing League in like 3 years to playing nearly nonstop those few months. I'd literally be playing a lot if either mode came back.
I mean, I don't really miss it, but if you want it back, that's your prerogative and you’re more than welcome to ask for it back.
it took riot at least 2 employees to put in more than 3 hours of work among 2 weeks. thats way too many ressources for riot sorry, modes not coming back.
I do miss it too. Careful the Mods will try to take this down as a RANT even though it's basically a poll to bring it back... They took my post down and it had a poll on it.

Probably the only thing that'd make me play League again would be NB being brought back. As the first iteration or a refined version of it.

It was such a fun, refreshing alternative to ARAM. And I enjoyed it greatly! Especially since my main champion worked great there. <3
The mode had some interesting items but other than that... didn't really care about the mode itself. Some items were probably OP, but that's what makes it exciting. LUL
they just needed to do more bug fixing and balancing on the events and rewards.
Yes, I miss Nexus Blitz. Main reason is plain and simple - shorter queues and games. I always make sure to clear a few HOURS if I want to play League. But when Nexus Blitz was around I could jump in and out any time. I could squeeze a few games before or after work, or before going to bed, etc. Often I don't play League at all because I'm not ready to dive into it for the next 3 hours, but with Nexus Blitz it was much less of a time commitment.
The only gamemode that didn't irritate me. SR too competitive focused and full of tryhards, tft is stupid and RNG focused where all you have to do is just build glacial, druid/woodland, inferno, or predator and get a easy win, no skill required at all, and Aram is pretty much the only casual mode and it's so annoying when you lose to champ select, cause you got 4 adcs and a ap vs 3 tanks and two assassin's....or even worse, a whole team of poke champions...
The first Nexus Blitz, I miss. The second one, not so much.

ARAM with bans was the funnest mode, NB (v2 with bans) second, ARAM without bans and stupid stat mods way down the list

Nexus Blitz was the first non-SR mode that I played and went: "That was really fun, let's go again". ARAM, TT, and URF, just didn't feel as fun to play.

I miss having any game mode aside from SR and ARAM, that actually lets me pick my champion.
Nexus Blitz was alright, but I would rather have Ascension back, because it plays completely different from anything else we currently have. The queue times used to be incredibly short for it and games were quick. You reached full build by the 15 minute mark. How often do you even get to full build in SR before the game is decided?
Ideally, I wish Dominion would return, but unfortunately most people fail to see the value in such a game mode.
