Sona's lolalytics Diamond win rate is steadily creeping to < 48%

The answer is "never."

Rito hates Sona, most of their employees do so personally. Maybe their bosses tell them they're supposed to hate Sona, idk. I just know they do.

The game and these boards are filled with anti-Sona players, nothing can ever sway them. I had an ally go full troll yesterday, cause he wanted to throw away his ban on Sona and I simply pointed out that she's unplayable. Had to mute him 30 seconds into the game, apparently he was spamming the chat all game according to my duo. Anti-Sona players will ALWAYS hate her, no matter how weak she is, even if she's literally unplayable like right now.

If she goes to a normal win rate, they complain that it's "above 50%." Now that she's below half, which for a non-existent skill-ceiling character like her literally means she's actually nonredeemable, even with artificial numbers. People's reactions are,"Well, if it's okay for Ryze, LB or Yas to be below 50%, then it's fine for her." Completely ignoring the dozens of factors which all naturally make her winrate positive, even whilst she's under-performing.

Let that sink in for a minute: Sona naturally has a positive winrate while she's underperforming. Right now, her winrate is negative. Anybody with a lick of common sense can put 2 and 2 together.

It's not even like Sona-haters blindly endorse every nerf. Many that wanted her gutted in pre-season, still admit doing so both directly & indirectly for 4 patches in a row was beyond overkill. Even the people that defended the original rework which ruined Sona, still didn't understand why the fuck they followed up that rework with nerfs, when the entire community agreed that she needed BUFFS.

The problem with groundless hatred is that by nature, it inherently contradicts common sense. That's how Fearless was able to justify ruining her, then gutting her after she was ruined. That's how Meddler was able to justify to himself that she was,"Just fine" even though she had to be reworked not long after him claiming such. It's how Meddler is able to justify publicly lying to the playerbase in pre-season 8, MULTIPLE times to excuse nerfing her 4 patches in a row, without touching Ezreal or the 12 other enchanters that benefited from "Masteries Reforged" by an exactly equal amount to Sona.

Because #BetterNerfSona. That's the universal answer to every fucking problem.

I'm glad I really hate Sona as a support but I think it's unfair to support mains who like her.
