Neeko's R is what Karma's shield bomb should've been

Neko - Radius indicator appears for 1.25s > gains shield > explodes into huge damage and stun.

Karma - Applies shield/ms to main target > radius indicator appears for 1.25s > explodes into damage and shield/ms.

That way Karma gets back her iconic ability, keeps her AoE shield and enemies get more counter play.

Then we all live happily ever after :)

It is sad that Karma apparently can not have her (once) iconic ability back. So much got ripped from her and altered, so much got lost, which todays Karma could need (Identity, unique abilities, skillexpression...). Its like taking Victors laser away. Or Garens spin.

I really hope Riot reconsiders their approach for her mini rework. What they want to ship to us is laughable compared to the time they invested and to what they could do and what Karma really needs.

She does not need frontloaded RQ damage. She needs target accessing. She does not need a RE, designed around boring and uninteractive spamming. She needs her iconic ability back - shieldbomb. She does not need Mantra Abilities, which levels off her basic abilities. She needs decision making. She does not need role locked Mantra decisions. She needs Mantras, which all offers something for all her roles.

She needs more Identity, more skillexpression.

She needs to be more... Karma.

I seriously don't get it.

3 champs will now have shieldbombs in one way or another. Sion was reworked with his intact before Karma's lost hers (5.10) and Ivern was created after that - so obviously Riot must consider shieldbombs healthy and attainable spells in league. Karma fans have been angry about the removal of shieldbomb for 3 years now. It was the most requested thing for this GU. It is the one thing old and new Karma fans seem to agree on; It was her signature spell. It would grant her at least some reliable damage, the lack of which is the one thing crippling mage Karma atm. Additionally it would help fight the imbalance between mantra choices based on your build.

So it's a viable spell, it would unifiy the fanbases, it would help her balance problems. It is the most requested feature and has been part of her kit for 5 years.

So obviously Riot gives us a Zilean effect on her W [zombie-brand-clap]

It's really starting to get disgusting.

Karma can't have her shield bomb, but Ivern, Sion and now a new champion can.

The proposed rework completely ends one of Karma's playstyles (so Tank Karma players must pick a new style or new champion to main.)

For mages, you get nothing. You didn't build all that AP to give someone else CDR. The proposed changes are complete shit and there's no communication on whether or not that are happening or what Riot thinks of the feedback.

Meanwhile Karma mains are crying out for something they just gave another champion. Talk about tone deaf.

I get downvoted for saying because of my attitude and aggressive nature. Thank you for posting this thought and taking a stand.

The new champion's R is basically another variant of Shield Bomb that could have been on Karma. We could literally have anything at this point to replace the current Mantra E and it would be more original than the two item actives that does it's job.

So happy to see other people with my own point of view on this.

Why does Riot hate Karma and her fan base? No pun intended.
