Awhile ago I was thinking about how we need a spellblade style item designed just for AD champs as not all champs scale off of AP. Then I started thinking about Tiamat/Hydra. What if the current active was replaced with a spellblade style effect? Cast a spell and your next AA does the bigget AoE damage.
If this isn't doable for Hydra on its own how about

WukongMain2 voteswhy not build Trinity force? sure a few of the stats are wasted, but even without those stats like AP or even Mana if your on a mana less champion. would still be cost efficient.

They're essentially a spell-blade effect you can cast mid-combo without relying on an AA to apply the damage active damage. And they're also Lich-Bane status with scaling, see as it's based off your total AD rather than your base, per-level AD.
