We could make Cleanse a viable spell if it worked on knockups.

I have never seen this spell picked in all my 800+ games on the Rift, except when I did (and that did not work well for me). I've seen Clairvoyance before it's removal, more than this spell. That's because it's useless. Useless in lane phase, useless in teamfights. Why? Because it doesn't work on knockups. Cleanse could be a great way to counter those annoying as hell champions like Chogath, Yasuo, Xin, etc.... those that have lock-down CC because there is no way to escape it.
