Because every champion is getting true damage, it's riots "fix" for everything just give everything true damage so that you eventually only have 2 stats, damage and health. that last part was an exaggeration but I do remember when True damage was a NICHE cool part of a champion now its so prevalent that I'm more surprised when I don't take a ton of true damage in a death Riot is so scared of tanks that they want to make sure everyone can easily kill tanks
