Did Riot destroy Sion with the new rework?

I feel like they hyped Sion too much and when they released it players were disappointed just like with Watch_Dogs. I mean there are some players that like the new Sion but I feel like he's one of the most countered champions to play against right now.

he sucks bawls. Riot is a much greater at being a destroyer of champions than Sion.

Sion is in the same boat as Renekton, Shyvana, and Jax. In a bruiser meta, or a melee VS melee top, he's good, great even. But in the ranged meta, with Ryze and Lulu dominating top lane with Maokai and Mundo scraping by thanks to their sustain, he's not as powerful.

Uh... what? They intentionally crippled the graphics for that game on PC so that console players didn't feel bad about their life choices, meaning everything they showed off leading up to release was WAY better than the final product. Go watch the teasers; those graphics are not in the game at all because of this. That game and the companies involved in its creation can burn in hell.

But this thread was about actual gameplay, not how it looks. Nobody is talking about new Sion looking bad, they're talking about him playing poorly, and Watch Dogs was a pretty strong game.

No I love watch dogs its just that a majority of people hate it because it was "overhyped" lol

All they wanted to do was give Sion more counterplay.

He was impossible to stop when he got ahead and he needed to have a chance to be defeated even if he was ahead.

That's all it was. Counterplay for Sion.

Play him in the jungle, but if you are determined to play him in lane just get better at landing E from creeps. I mean seriously it is one of the longest range harasses in the laning game for only 25 mana, you don't need to use Q and W unless you are going for a kill.
