Thunderlords vs Kayle ult

I honestly don't know if this would be called a bug because the description of Thunderlord's says "Your 3rd attack or damaging spell", but I still think it is. So I'm in a tough match up, Riven vs Kayle, and I try to fight her, I e w auto she pops ult and I q while her ult is still on and it procs thunderlord's, It says "damaging spell" but my q did no damage, and all of thunderlords damage is wasted because of that. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think it means damaging as in capable of being damaging. Whether or not you do actual damage is irrelevant.

This doesn't matter. A Kayle ult just prevents to damage to affect her health bar, but you still did damage to her. That's why you can also get health through lifesteal if you attack a kayleulted target

if it still did damage you'd think I'd get a grey "0" in place where the damage pops up.
