I agree. DFG is an interesting idea but is poorly executed. Champions whose kits are designed to burst should not require an item specifically designed to help them burst. Their kits alone should be enough. So either every champion's kit is balanced around the total damage they can output with DFG (bad design) or it isn't, in which case the DFG item is causing champions to deal overpowered amounts of damage every 90 seconds (bad design). Just scrap it.

I think it would be awesome as a support item Basically make it way less slot efficient but a lot cheaper so that a support could pick up

A support alone wouldn't really be able to take advantage of it bbut it would hugely amplify setting up picks encouraging team work. I would also request that they make it a lot clearer that they have the doom debuff so that teammates would be able to take advantage of it
