Teemo could use some loving in his setup
OK, I know EVERYONE hates Teemo with a passion. However he's easily countered and shut down due to 2 main things. First is in his attack range. He can't play an ADC Bot lane role cause he literally has the shortest range for an auto attacking AD/AP hybrid champ. Same issue comes up in Mid lane, many of the mages that dominate mid lane have not only spell range on him but also auto attack range. Teemo has an AA range of only 500. There are only 17 total champions with the Same or Less range for an AA and most of those have skills that far outreach the 700+ ranges. Now when you look at the ranges for most of the champions you find that a large bulk of the Range and Mage classes all have 525 or 550 AA range. So why do we have Teemo, a champion who has nothing but a movement boost, an 8 second CD blind for 1.5 second with a good mana cost, an AA small dot, and a mushroom bomb with a bad area trigger, and he has one of the shortest AA ranges in the game??
The second main issue is his Mushrooms themselves. There is a nice little circle that comes up when you place one when playing Teemo. This is SUPPOSE to be the trigger zone that shows where someone will step on it and make it explode. Yet I've had champions literally on top of it and it doesn't do anything, then a minion comes along and pops it doing nothing to any champion and just killing the minions. This area of triggering needs to be fixed as others like Jhin's and Nidalee's traps seem to trigger before you are even at the item's physical location. This of course gives you a second or two to get out of Jhin's but Nid's just hits you with a bit of damage and makes you visible so there's nothing you can do about it. Others like Cait's and Jinx's traps have a zone that still comes out a bit from them but not as bad as Teemo's shrooms as you can see them and dodge appropriately.
Fixing the shrooms' trigger zones to be what are shown and upping his AA range to the 525 or the good 550 range would give him some more love and let him be able to survive a bit better in Mid and Bot lane. His Top lane is ok but he's still massively out powered by tanks and bruisers early on. When a Panth does his 3 hit combo with you stunned and you've gone from full to 1/4 of your health it shows that he's a clear counter to a Teemo and that the Teemo is going to need lots of ganks up top. Doing the same fixes will help even the playing field up top as he'll be able to tag and trade better with Bruisers and Tanks that have the ability to dive him with next to no recourse done against them.
