is akali getting buffs any time soon?

How is she depressing? i see her melt squishies in one second.

Any buff to Akali would also be a buff to tank Akali, and Riot doesn't want to encourage tank assassins.

Hi, little late but I saw the hate the OP was getting and decided to weigh in here.

I agree with the OP tbh. Akali's been weak since 5.9 and 5.12 nerfs where she went from pick or ban in all elos to troll pick. Since then she's gotten maybe one buff(i think around patch 6.14 her ult speed missile was increased) not much of a buff but technically it still counts. Then this rework was an overall nerf to her entire kit to balance her around the stealth changes and her w blink (which i kind of like but it adds clunkiness into her kit.) The buffs following afterward were just an attempt to bring her back to being at least playable like pre rework. Even the most recent buff she got (passive works on turrets) was something she already had before her rework.

I don't hate the reworked Akali with the current buffs that she got, but I still feel she needs a buff to her ult. Rickless halved the base damage and scaling of it and doubled the cooldown. Even if it had to be nerfed (which it didn't imo) the cooldown or the damage should've been changed, not both.

Akali as of right now is pretty trash. Easily countered (but that's nothing new).

Most Akali mains have been thinking why play Akali when: a.k.a. "Akali 2.0" has better chase Burst mages like do more damage, faster and from a safer distance and assassins like do her JOB better than her in every way.

I can live with Akali as she is until her VGU in 2018, but I'll be counting the days....

Edit: As for the comments claiming she still one shots in under a second and has a strong lategame and such.

1. She's a mid game champion, she tends to fall off lategame.

2. Akali can oneshot squishies still, but certain conditions have to be met and it won't be under a second unless she is quite fed. She needs to proc Q with the extra damage from passive, then she'll have to use Q again because thats her only damaging ability now (Ult doesn't count as it does less damage than janna aa).
