As long as they only affect the player that bought them, I would be fine with supporting that.

Having played HoN and seeing their atrocious take on it, I would not want such nonsense to be added to LoL.

That's the way HoN did it... the global announcer would change depending on the person that performed the task, I.e. if you have the "ALL DRAVEN VOICEPACK" , it would use that voice if that player scored a double kill.

Now , imagine that many people have different voice packs and it becomes an incredibly annoying sequence in every game.... now imagine that the developers very specifically did not add an option to always use the default voice pack and thus you were forced to listen to the nonstop barrage of garbage ..

That was HoN.

It was one of the (Many) things that took HoN from being better than LoL (At the time) to being way worse.

Well, it wasn't confusing at all. Whoever did the task: killed the tower, first blood, etc, the game will use your announcer pack whoever did it. I played HoN for quite a while, it was fun for me. :)
