Karma Rework Not Addressing Massive Problems

She is basically just getting a new Mantra W, per the Developer working on her, "that will help her jungling ability". Karma's gameplay identity, art problems, thematic and gameplay issues are not being addressed. Meddler promised us work on Karma a year ago, to give us another half arsed work that is not listening to Karma players or addressing a single issue that was created by them. Meddler is "afraid" to work on Karma because of new players not liking old Karma, all because they waited 5 years to do any amount of work on her.

The upcoming rework is a new Mantra W that helps her jungling and QOL changes. Karma's fans are not coming back, she isn't getting a new passive, her Mantra Q is still going to be blocked by minions, shield bomb isn't coming back, and anything original and unique that players actually like about Karma, will be put on new champions. When a champion is suffering for this long because of a kit that Developers promised us would be better but hasn't, there is a problem with the kit and the work you did.

So, what is Karma? Players who used to actually like the champion would say her Fans and Shield Bomb. No one can say anything now and don't know who she is. Meddler and Developers like NeuroCat are the reason why she is still in a mess of a place. Karma is not a successful champion. Work on Ezreal. That's the answer.

Karma right now is a champion who personifies the balance between protection and destruction. She has one ability that is pure destruction, one ability that rides the line between(her W does damage but also keeps enemies at bay by rooting them and heals if you mantra it), and one that is pure protection. Her ultimate allows her to choose one of those aspects at any given time and give it a push to restore balance. That is a decision I really enjoy making.

I, personally, really love the current Karma, I just feel like she is a bit pigeonholed into support for a champ with so much potential. I don't know if a W change is going to be enough, but jungle karma has always been something I wanted to see so I'm intrigued. Visually speaking, the new Karma is one of my favourite champions in the game. The halo is such a cool visual piece, and she simply looks serene and elegant, which is exactly what I want from her.

I had played the old Karma some, however I had no strong opinion on her. She seemed kind of meh to me. That's not saying there was a problem, she just simply did not resonate with me back then. And that's fine. I only have a few dozen champs despite playing for years, I have no interest in owning the rest, so I get that not every character appeals to not every player.

What I'm trying to say here... is that acting as though the old Karma was factually superior to the new Karma is incorrect. She is not. She is just different. The new Karma is not a BAD design, it just doesn't appeal to quite the same people as old Karma did. Now, I never asked for her to be reworked to appeal to me, and I'm sorry you had to lose something for that to be the case... But at this point she's been this way for so long that asking for them to screw over all the people like me who love what she is NOW feels INSANELY selfish of you.

Perhaps, in stead, ask for a new champ to be the mage you want. That way you're not stealing something from someone else. Two wrongs do NOT in fact make a right. But I'd be 100% behind any campaign you want to make for them to make a new champ to fill the specific niches you feel old Karma left vacant.
