Malzahar

I'm a tad nervouse about this Malzahar because I enjoy playing him but have always felt he was a sleeper OP and kind of cheesy to lane against. I was waiting for Riot to nerf or rework well it looks like that day has finally come and I really hope they don't completely destroy him. I'm fairly certian they are going to get rid of the silence on his Q since Riots has shown they don't like silences on high damage champions Talon Leblanc Viktor. But I'm interested in seeing if they change his E at level 3 it does some pretty crazy damage to champs that step to close to minions. My main concern is that riot keeps the fun aspects about Malzahar while making him more manageable to play against.

They won't gut E without giving him something. As a Maokai main, I can tell you when they nerfed the range on his W I screamed bloody murder. But they reduced his W and it was a massive improvement. They look at ban/pick rates. I know it's easy to rage but hang in there.

I also hope they don't mess up his numbers. I like building Malzahar with these items item 3027 item 3151 item 3116 This allows him to become an off tank and still do absurd damage.

unlike the other silences his is a fairly then skill shot. so i think it will stay. and rito has said that they identify his e as a core part of his kit , i do expect a damage nurf to it but it should be made up with by more minion interaction

No Riot is not getting rid of Silences on high damage champions, they were getting rid of Silences that were point and click on high burst champions. When those three you mentioned would click on you, you were dead because you were Silenced and there was nothing you could do. Specially Talon and LB who could erase you in less than a second.

Malzahar's Silence is a delayed skillshot, making it fairly hard to hit and giving his combo some Counterplay, dodging it. Its also his only reliable form of CC (the Suppress does not count as reliable as it suppresses him too) and without it he would be pretty much garbage. I think his Silence is quite healthy and anyone who complains about it simply doesn't know to dodge as it is heavily telegraphed.

Oh believe me I agree with you I think Malzahar's silence isn't nearly as bad as Talon's or Leblanc's I just hope Riot agrees.

Well I think Riot does agree which is why they didn't already remove it. I read somewhere else that they don't see his or Garen's silences as problems.

I'm hoping they don't pull a Zilean or Sion and just make him unfun to play as rather than against.
