Kench: I just realized the real issue

As was pointed out in another thread, Tahm does not actually do more damage than other tanks. Additionally, his abilities are all skill shots or melee range. His win rates have never been good since release. Basically, he is not actually that strong as a champ when looking at the big picture. Therefore, I've always been curious as to why there is so much hate on him.

I realized it today. For some reason, and I'm really perplexed as to why, people who hate Tahm all feel like they should not have to adjust their game when Tahm is in it.

Is warwick on the enemy team? Build a qss. Is zed? Build a zhonya's. Annie, brand, or vel support, or an AP mid/jg? Build some magic resist. All AD team? Build thornmail.

But when Tahm is on the team, whom you KNOW is a magic damage champ with heavy cc, nobody wants to do anything. Even diamond Tryndamere main, who probably knows that a qss/merc scim would save him of Tahm devours him during his ult, instead complains on the forum instead of adjusting his build.

NEWS FLASH: Tahm Kench is an impactful champion just like Annie -- ok not that impactful, but still impactful. If he is in your game, it behooves you to, instead of ignoring him so that you can get frustrated and post about how strong he is, too just accept that Tahm Kench is a magic damage champion with powerful single-target crowd control. Once you come to terms with that, you will find he is not nearly as strong as you previously thought.

Yea I should buy a QSS and completely ruin my build (let's be real, building early qss on tryndamere = autoloss) to counter a spammable normal spell lol.

At least with Warwick and Zed you're countering their ults, and there's pretty much nothing they can do after.

12-6 seconds. If tahm has 40% CDR, he likely gave up HP to do so, and is weaker than he otherwise would be damagewise.

If you can't get away from tahm 12-6 seconds after he ate you and you QSS'd out, you'd be dead anyway, and that'd be true of any single target magic damage lockdown champion.

So build hexdrinker, upgrade to maw. The passive is amazing on Tryndamere during his ult.

No one ever likes to adjust their playstyle. They're stupid sheep who refuse to differentiate their build paths.

its much easier to just complain.

I seen some good Tahm's in all lanes, and I've seen some bad Tahm's in all lanes.

It's hard to say how OP he truly is. Can he deny kills? Yes. Is he the only one? NO.

Is he the most OP bot support? Depends on the enemy team comp. I'd argue and say Blitzcrank is the most OP support out of them all. Morgana and Lux can be annoying too.

More lately, I been seeing weak Tahm's. The last OP Tahm I really seen was a jungle Tahm Kench.

So my conclusion is that Tahm Kench has potential to be OP just like other supports. It comes down to a player skill, and what team comp they are up against.

Ekko Kayle Kindred Tryndamere Veigar Zilean scrub ults. Tahm is so predictable, if you get rekt by big stench kench you probably deserved it.

um no tahm doesnt have heavy cc...its not mroe than most tanks at least... nor is damage really the thing that makes him so strong. Its jsut that devour is insanely good at protecting carries and this is such an important part of the game. That would be fine by itself...like shen for example has a pretty powerful global ult that can do almost as good as devour (but with much longer cd)...but shen is actually less tanky and does less damage than tahm...you see? its the combination of it all

a QSS does nothing to stop tahm from devouring his adc you just landed a dark binding on, and then running away at breakneck speed.
